when was the last time you saw him open on a wing with room to run with the footy?
never

2 years ago he was streaming down the wings through half forward....i mean obviously he cant kick and would turn it over badly, but at least the opposition would not be setup to capitalize the shank that comes off his boot.

15th in disposal efficiency in the MEL game. 7th from the bottom and we had 2 injuries, so 5th last of all CFC players that finished the game.

Thats pathetic.

Cause they’ve been playing him half forward.

Done a hammy. Don’t usually like players getting injured but this might be a blessing.

Mason kicked 2 goals and did mostly better than any of the forwards.
How about some decent kicks intoi the forward line.
Callun Brown disgraceful....same with Phillips.
Go back and watch the replay Cox did better than any of the forwards.
Wha about Lynch.... absolute nothing

Are you joking? Imagine playing forward in a dysfunctional set up with crabs like Phillips and Cal Brown kicking on top of your head against some of the league's best defenders. Mason did very well tonight.

Stevo unsighted and Callum Brown couldn't kick longer than 30 m and you whinge about Cox!!!

Worst forward line ever assembled on a football field.

VAFL and EFL teams I’ve played in over the journey had more talent than the garbage we trot out weekly. And I’m dead effing serious.

I did not whinge about Cox.

What I did was point out that Phillips wasn't the only poor performer spudding it up out there tonight. Cox was hopeless, too. I'm not sure it matters which of them was slightly less worse than the other.

But, you know, angels dancing on heads of pins and so forth - give it a crack.

Fair enough ...but I don't think Mason was poor tonight.
he did nothing in the first quarter but the ball delivery was terrible .... he got better as the game progressed.
2 goals out of 5 was a fair return

I've always said - NEVER select players who have suffered a passing in their family during that week, or prior to a game.
It often ends badly - their minds are elsewhere and the teams gets punished.

And there ends his 70 consecutive games-streak:

Jack Crisp CW 136
Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti ES 91
Clayton Oliver ME 82
Tom Phillips CW 69
Brodie Grundy CW 65 l
Jake Lloyd SY 64
Todd Goldstein NM 62
Tim Kelly WC 61
Lachie Neale BL 60
Jarrod Witts GC 58 J
Angus Brayshaw ME 57
Christian Petracca ME 54
Brayden Maynard CW 54

Cox is horrible and what's sad is that there are players on our list who are worse. While Cox kicks a goal or two, you can't get away from the fact that he is soft, weak and timid. He is out positioned in a one-on-one marking contest far too easily. It's embarrassing.

I said in the game thread, he's our new orchid. If the ball isn't delivered perfectly, he has no chance of marking it.

I can't believe Phillips has managed to stay in our 22 for this long.

Should have been de-listed with Henry Schade and Jackson Ramsay when I first noticed his weaknesses
