How the heck a total Spud like Cameron got kept in , while a kid in Henry gets omitted is beyond me, we are going in very tall against them.

Looking forward to seeing what we have got planned. At the very least, Brisbane will be baffled. This could play out to be a surprise ambush. Go Pies!!

We haven't got much leg speed in this team, and only one line breaker in IQ, so we must be going to rely entirely on fast ball movement. With so many talls in our forward line, we obviously aren't going to keep the ball low necessarily when going into F50. Maybe the instruction tonight will be: "bomb it in" !?

Krueger is quick and agile for a tall, Reef is very quick in a short burst.

We're not going to have a lot of small forward pressure up there though unless the mids really get on their bikes, WHE is the shortest in the named forward line at 186cm. Shocked

Very tall forward line for us , if our guys dont mark it, the smaller Lion defenders will whisk it away from them. IMHO the Lions will win the Premiership this season, as they have done a long apprenticeship in losing close Prelim Finals, and are hungry as hell. So, its a big, big ask for us to win this one up there, footys toughest match, outside of the Deeees mob. Id love to see us cause a big upset but cannot, not by logic, but we will have a red hot go, no doubt of that. But, Lions by 22 points for mine.

Brisbane's key defensive posts in Andrews and Adams have been as (or more) effective intercepting as Wet Toasts McGovern and Barras.

We dominated most statistical indicators against Wet Toast yet were cut off on so many forward entries as we just couldn't find a way around those two.

Perhaps the forward selection is a hint at a different approach to defensive structures featuring 2 x very good KPD who intercept well.

Are we backing our defense and mids to get the ball forward and then trying to make Brisbane's interceptors accountable and provide another target that isn't covered by one of those?

While I think you are right about us getting rolled - by maybe 20-30 points, I have to pull you up on Brisbane's long apprenticeship of losing close prelims. They have only made one in recent times (2020), which they lost by 40 points.

I don't think they will win the flag. Its Melbourne, then Geelong and then daylight after that I reckon.

Apart from the recent recruits, this team looks like the one Bucks used to trot out.

I reckon we'll get slaughtered by 10+ goals, but am happy to see Fly is not insane.

The Lions lost a very close Final last season, and have been disappointing in recent Finals, yes, but their window is wide open now, i just feel that the Dees, on that dreaded nmuber of 13 flags, may do what we did, and be stuck on 13 for a very very long time. Cool Smile

Looking forward to Grundy also lining up in the forward line, the tallest Collingwood team ever fielded.
Put Howe in the ruck so he can take out 'Tap of the Year'.

If the Lions are on. This game could be well and truly over by half time.

I will take a 3 to 4 goal loss as acceptable.

And no injuries...please

I'm already annoyed by the Daniher moustache and the game hasn't even begun.

The only player with a more annoying use of hair in the AFL is Bailey Fritsch who clearly goes to his hairdresser and asks for the dunny brush.
