Anybody remember that time maybe 10-15 years ago, when Mike pulled the plug on Nicks for about a week, and we all lost our shit without it?!

Was Eddie the source of the death threat?

Nick, my son Nick completed last year what you're doing now. Interested in connecting?

Did we influence their direction by naming them? I'll pass it on to Nick, not that I see him very often - he seems to live at Utas these days.

Just an update to Nick's story.

The PhD has been on hold because the university has been closed due to Covid so Nick has got back into his music to fill in isolation time.

For anyone interested his You Tube channel is at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVAoabdFx1IiwyrFhk3gd_Q

It was actually December 2003.

Nick's has closed.

It takes a great deal of effort and expense to keep a show like this site on the road. The time and effort is obviously wasted. I am not prepared to put any more of my personal well-being into this site. The effort is clearly a waste of resources.

This facility would have closed a couple of years ago except for the efforts of a small group of selfless people who donated their time and energy without reward to keep it alive. I can no longer sit back and watch them be abused, criticised and generally denegrated because they were prepared to put in. To them I apologise. They are the true champions of this site. They were not aware that this was about to happen and they deserve better. I suppose in the end it's always the same story, it's just Collingwood, we always seem to turn on our own, we all know how to do it better than the people who are actually doing it. Well.. off you go and do it then.

We saw the Club and the team through the hard times of the 90s and we are probably not as necessary now as we were then. Success builds its own momentum and the team is certainly doing that on its own now.

Parts of it have been fun and much of it has been rewarding, but in the end you have to feel that you are contributing something for it to be worthwhile. We obviously got it wrong.

Thanks for all the fish.

Mike
