You couldn't make this stuff up. Unless you're in the US intelligence / Keystone Cops community, of course, in which case running with and exaggerating unsourced hunches is just a key part of the job.
https://www.nytimes.com/2020/02/23/us/politics/russia-2020-election-interference.html
Quote: | Their disagreement came as intelligence officials disputed reports that emerged last week about a briefing of the House Intelligence Committee. The officials now maintain that the House members either misheard or misinterpreted a key part of the briefing, and that the Office of the Director of National Intelligence did not mean to say that it believes the Russians are currently intervening in the election explicitly to help President Trump.
They do believe that Russia is intervening in the election, and that Moscow prefers Mr. Trump, a deal maker it knows well. But at least for now, those two objectives may not be linked. |

Bernies blind spot will end up being his policies which, as every good socialist does, are totally uncosted. He has NFI how much his policies will cost, but we'll tax the rich and middle class some more and it'll all be good.
He aint going to be POTUS. Not happening. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Agree. There's a long way to go.
I still think it comes down to Sanders and Bloomberg despite's Bloomberg's poor debating performance last week. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

Eh, the same guy wrote this prognostication four years ago:
https://www.huffpost.com/entry/trumps-character-is-his-f_b_8247914
Quote: | The Greek philosopher Heraclitus famously wrote, “A man’s character is his fate.” This truth neatly captures Donald Trump‘s rise — and inevitable fall — as a presidential contender.
Already there are hints of his collapse beneath the weight of his quest. Trump’s performance in the second debate resembled the slow leak of a balloon, overinflated by an indulgent media which viewed him as ratings helium. Though he now promises that his candidacy will have a “second act,” Trump has within him but one act — his own. Thus polls suggest that he has reached his ceiling, and it is hard to imagine him drawing mass support from the adherents of his rivals.
[...]
As the primary field continues to narrow, one or two well-financed opponents will — as Romney did to his rivals in 2012 — carpet bomb Trump with viciously crafted negative ads from state to state, a drumbeat of humiliation which will make Megyn Kelly’s recitation of sexism look like a Caribbean cruise. Conservative media will peel back his curtain of red meat and expose that, as a conservative, Trump is the Wizard of Oz; his all too ripe personal life will begin repelling evangelicals. Slowly, inevitably, Trump will crack, flooding the maws of an avid media with a cascade of whining, petty feuds and overblown grievances, mindlessly feeding the hunger for a new story line in which Trump consumes himself.
His audience will be watching, and not kindly — some out of sheer fascination with his self-destruction, more because most Americans are, at bottom, sensible. They want an optimistic leader who imbues them with hope, not a self-obsessed whiner whose endless psychodrama is, in the end, exhausting. Not only will they not want Donald Trump in the White House; they won’t want him in their living room. And one by one they will switch the channel until Trump is left alone on a soundstage, and the lens into which he stares becomes an empty mirror. |
Yes, "inevitably". Not saying I knew any better, but you'd think the pundits would have learned something by now about using "common wisdom" to predict the outcome of a democratic process. Richard doesn't know any better than you or I do how this thing will turn out; trouble is, he's paid to pretend that he does. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

maybe; but over fifty years of supporting and making excuses for every failed Marxist communist dictatorship is going to come back to bite him.
People under 25 may not read history, but everyone else does.
saying "Fidel Castro did some good things" is like painting a kick me sign on your self.
like I said; the Democrats should have found a new candidate after 2016.
Harry Markopolos or someone like him would have got the occupy walls st crowd as well as centrists. _________________ Pi = Infinite = Collingwood = Always
