Can someone please explain why we are dealing with briscum still when we gave those pr*cks a deadline last week and they failed to meet it, and why we are even considering accepting a mediocre deal like the one they're offering now: 5, 25 (which will go to norf) and crisp - a nobody rookie.

We've gone from talkin' the talk last week to being kicked in the guts this week. Is this all so we can get varcoe and greenwood? So much for entertaining offers from other clubs. We are losing a 24 y.o star midfielder and getting bugger all in return, and this club seems rather content with allowing that to happen. Those pricks have been sniffing around for years now - throwing big dollars in dayne's face, and now he's walking for it. We are losing far more than we are gaining. We also get shafted on the compo pick the deez get too. Should be 4 and not 5. Frawley is not worth pick 3.

Rant over.

Dude, we were stuffed from the minute he didn't show to the Copeland and sent those smart arse tweets, everyone knew we couldn't keep him then.

Hope we smash him when we play the bears

that's what I thought; but now I'm not so sure. It would seem as though we're conceding on this trade in an attempt to satisfy everyone else except Collingwood FC.

As a legends member I do contribute financially to the club and I guess you could say that we're losing out on this deal.

Deadline or not, we were always going to continue to trade them. I guess they didn't want it to go on for weeks, hence the deadline.

it's business. Pies want overs, Brisbane want unders and they will meet somewhere in the middle.

Pies had to play hard and be serious or Brisbane would have got him for nothing.

The Copeland was the straw that broke the camels back.

Im at the stage where I just want the deal done and move on.

We're getting pick 5, Greenwood and Crisp for Beams. Ideally, I'd like another pick, even if its in the 40s.

* We were not able to interest Dangerfield, which would have been the perfect replacement.

* Brisbane could only offer pick 4 (Which became 5 after the bs Frawley thing). How would we feel if they could have given us, say, pick 2 instead. (I think we all want Petrecca).

* As far as going for Redden/Rich/Aish/etc, yeah it's disappointing. I dont think we'd feel so bad if we nabbed one of those guys. (In the near future we might have to talk to Aish if he doesn't sign a contract extension).

* The same can be said about not getting a youngster from GWS. It'll be interesting to see what happens between them and the Bulldogs in the next two weeks.

Once Beams and Harry trades are done, will we be finished at the trade table this year? (I'd really like to have one or two more better selections).

I drew a line through Beams' name after a series of poor finals performances. I will be pleased to see some players who might rise to the occasion given a chance.

Well it's 6:15 and still no deal announced.

So either:

1.We've rejected the Lions revised offer.

2.Clubs are still haggling over the draft picks involved in the "mega club" deal.

3.The club is trying to save a little face in not being seen as signing off on this trade at the earliest opportunity.

I'm hoping for option 1 but expect it might be option 2.
