He's always been a big game player, loves the finals, I expect a strong campaign from the big Texan

Heading into the Brownlow count for 2022:

Now Has:
Played 358 Games. (Most club games and most games as club captain).
Premiership Player: 2010.
Norm Smith Medal: 2010.
Most games played at the MCG.
6× All-Australian Team: 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2019.
3× AFL ANZAC Day Medal: 2010, 2011, 2019 (Tied record).
5× Copeland Trophy: 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016.
Most Brownlow votes from a Collingwood player.
6th all time for total Brownlow votes.
Has the most total Brownlow votes without a win.

Needs:
*3 more Brownlow votes to enter the top 5 for total votes.

*1 Anzac Day medal to be the outright leader. (Currently tied with Hird on 3 wins). You never know, he could still get another.

*1 Copeland Trophy to equal Buckley with the most on 6 wins. (Probably out of reach now with younger players taking over).

Tonight we'll be hoping to see Pendles name come up a few times, and not Selwood.
Selwood is 3 votes behind Pendles. And Pendles is 2 behind Harvey in 5th place.

Sadly just the 2 votes this year. That has him equal 5th on 215.
Selwood got 4 and sits 7th on 214.
Pendles remains the highest overall vote getter for a player without a Brownlow win. By 1 vote over Selwood.
Next years count will be fun.

^or not.
Selwood retires with Pendlebury in the top 5 and still the highest vote getter without a win.
I think Pendles will hold that title for a while "most votes without a win".

https://afltables.com/afl/brownlow/totals0.html

Dangerfield needs 10 to be second all-time. Pendles needs 12 to be 4th all-time. Might be hard to do that now considering he has just 8 votes over the last 2 years.
Next year lets go for the Anzac Medal, and most importantly a flag. (Wouldn't say no to a Norm Smith either). Cool I think the Brownlow is out of reach, but would be nice to get a few more votes next count.

Sidey will pass Tony Shaw in games played in round 5 and be 2nd in all time games played for the club.
Crisp can jump from 33 on that list into the top 20 (equal with Presti) if he has his usual, play every game season.

Pendles is 29 disposals away from 10,000. He'll be the only player current or past at the annual 10,000 possession club dinner.

So the options are he plays Gather Round and has a blinder to make the record in Adelaide, plays gather round and gets the record back on the hallowed MCG at home against Port Adelaide, or we have to wait until the Anzac Day game away to the bombers.
Or if he gets a 2 week break, maybe it’s Anzac Day at the MCG anyway

Steele Sidebottom this weekend will only have his dual premiership compadre Scott Pendlebury ahead of him when he moves to no.2 on games played list with 314 games, passing 1990 Premiership Captain Tony Shaw.
