Nice percentage booster. Probably could have won by an extra 4 or 5 goals but it was a good professional performance.

I said Fremantle wouldn’t kick 10 goals.
Prediction was looking good for 115 mins.
FFS.
Still, I would’ve taken a 61 point win pre game. _________________ Est. 2002 |

A win is a win and we are a top eight side—not sure we are top 4
Next week will be very telling —win that and I may believe top 4 _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

A better win than our recent history would predict - very exciting; Cannot wait to see it on the replay. Mihocek sounds like a good fit swingman. WHE and Phillips sound like they had a day out.
Looking forward to next week - go go pies _________________ We shall set our course by the stars and not ships that pass in the night |

Fyffe should get 8 weeks for that vicious high jump and hit on Greenwood. But he’ll get a fine. |

Very pleasing overall. We played at an energy saving intensity and still smashed them. Perhaps the slackness in the final 10 minutes was due to an instruction telling our players to avoid injury and minimise energy levels. While it wasn't a good look, and perhaps was taken too far, maybe it was actually a measure taken to prepare for next week.
I am really happy with our team structure. We are beginning to function as a team, which can still perform even when certain key individuals are missing.
The fact that this time WHE and Mihocek became our targets up forward rather than JDG, shows the flexibility and consequent unpredictability that we now have at hand.
Cox is striking fear in the opposition defences, who have now been put on notice that their tactics have to remain within the rules.
The depth in our midfield is fantastic, and perhaps the policy of recruiting midfielders is now beginning to bear fruit due to the step up to the next level being made by several, such as Phillips, Crisp, and the titan, Brodie Grundy.
We have assembled an unusual team, and I did not see this coming. But I will enjoy it now that it has. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

I’m worried by our CHB and FB positions. If Hogan and McDonald are on their game, we will struggle to contain Melbourne. Freo scored from over 50% of their inside 50s, mainly because our KPDs struggled to prevent the forwards marking. We might be OK if it’s a wet day. |

Worries me too, but if Jeremy Howe is fit, it will make a huge difference to the backline. Very good game by Maynard after a month 's absence. |

Reid hopefully will be available next week. Play him back. We will have to select horses for courses next week. We need tall defenders to counter Melbourne's tall forward line. Hopefully Howe also will be back. We need his intercept marking. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

On to next week for the annual give Melbourne a free kick every queens birthday weekend.
And remember it will be also be their annual "grand final".
Should be a good game.
As for Freemantle game, not much to say other than mason cox always gets 2 or 3 players on him which allows JDG, Stevo, WHE and a few others space. |

Amongst a good team win there were standout individual efforts WHE and Tom Phillips plus debut boy Miochek
But that game by Brayden Maynard was as good as I’ve seen him play _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |
