I wonder if old man Cloke will come out bagging Bevo now ?? _________________ Go Pies...Premiers 2010 |

Redpath dropped too
Maybe the reigning premiership coach thinks big forwards are overrated too.
Having said that, I would have liked to have seen the possibility of Brown and Cloke up against each other at some stage. |

Cloke being dropped isn't a story.
The surprising and newsworthy part was when he was selected in the first place. |

Correct.
He's cooked, if anything we offloaded him a year too late. Was a grand player for us in his prime, but it's a cut throat business. Anyone who suggests we should have kept him has rocks in their head. |

^ Nailed it, Sixpoints. Wonderful, amazing player in his prime, but battling to find a role in today's game. If he'd ever disciplined himself to learn to kick, he'd have been one of the all-time greats, and still have three or four years left in the same sort of goal-square role his father played. Compare with Nick Sookwaldt, who is 90 years older than God as big blokes go and still amongst his side's best players even so. _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |

But according to Demir all he needed was a coach who believed in him and he would be a star again. |

Clokey helped us too a flag, always a Pies man for that. But, hes absolutely cooked now, gawn, and I bet his grumpy old man Demir will start throwing shit at Bevo, as he did with Bucks. Trav should tell the silly old boy to just STFU and get outa his life. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Poor Clokey, he went to the absolute worst club he could have chose.
They hate Collingwood there, they despise us for some reason, so they were never going to do him a favour.
Then they are coming off the back of a flag, where the 21 remaining players (Hamlin went to Freo) are always going to be chosen ahead of him if fit.
Then there's the simple fact, he's not the Travis Cloke of old, and is only going to get worse.
He would have been better off accpeting the Lions offer of teaching Schache, Hipwood and co about how to play forward and develop himself as maybe a forward coach also.
Won't mind at all if Cloke isn't playing anywhere next year, because he will then be welcomed back to Collingwood as the club champion, premiership winning player he is. |
