Ed's position on the board was up for re-election early this year and I heard that Paul Murphy was putting together a challenge.
I was also told he pulled the pin because it was the 125th anniversary.
Now he is conducting the comprehensive review of the club at the behest of the board.
The system works!
I can't wait to hear what the review will recommend. It will no doubt be fearless and uncompromising.

Well done Eddie!!!!
For what ever reason, for once the AFL got it right, 4 weeks is about right for deliberately hitting a player behind play (he admitted he was trying to hit him). Next time he might look where the hit will land. The tagged was out before he hit the deck, surely blind Freddy see that's a minimum of four.

Someone told me Ed has gone to Europe for a few weeks.
So no action at the Westpac centre.
Bux will still be there for a few more weeks.
Pity Ed and Bux don't book themselves into a Zen monastary for a year or two.

I reckon the president of Geelong might show you the answer. He has got a stadium at a shit hole built.Has got them the equivalent home ground advantage of an interstate club with the home games they have. I'd have loved to see that at Vic Park. A 45,000 seat Collingwood fortress with 11 home games .BUT we got the the Lexus/Holden centre and play to near empty houses at the MCG. I'm sure the Presidents of the WCE /Dockers and Crows/ Port would also argue that their new grounds will give them an even bigger advantage and let's not forget the Sydney president who got ALL their home games moved back to the SCG where they thrive. NAH!! They've done SFA!!! You're dead right.  |

I don't think Ed lost 15kgs on a diet. More like 15kgs watching Collingwood and I reckon he has lost his appetite. That's were the weight loss has come from. Now overseas and probably booked into some six star relaxation place to get his appetite back with no Foxtel

To me it's pretty simple.
If Ed still has the best interests of the whole club at heart then Buckley will be getting the tap on the shoulder in the coming weeks.
Only a man more interested in his friendship with the coach and his own ego would re-sign him based on our performances of the last 4 years.
I pray that the Eddie of old is still in there somewhere.

I don't begrudge Ed taking a 3 week holiday as the host of Millionaire Hot Seat or a breakfast radio host but if you choose to be President of an AFL football club surely the appropriate time for one is anything other than during the season.
Given how important this year was always going to be for the club with a coach under pressure and in his final year of a contract this is doubly so.
We were 4-9 when you left, 5-10 now and many members and supporters see us as a club in crisis, at our lowest ebb since 1999 and Ed you're no where to be seen.
