In the tradition of "What pisses you off?" and "What made you happy today?" threads, this one's for those little occasions that may not get you punching walls or dancing with glee but leave you feeling, "hmm, how odd is that?".

Ok, I guess it'd only be natural for an oddball such as myself to get the ball rolling Smile

Last night, I found it odd to walking into a pizza restaurant named 'Cousins', was done up in the traditional Italian colors red white and green, had the obligatory Ferrari poster hanging on the wall and you know, typical pizza shop stuff, when I soon discovered that the joint was run by Indians Surprised , which, for a good little Italian boy like me, sort of took me a little aback so I ventured on with a little trepidation Smile (please don't think I'm racist, if you understood Italians and their cooking you'd know where I'm coming from) Cool . It wasn't a huge deal really, if it bothered me, I would've stepped out and gone to another place only 50 metres up the street. Just looked a little odd and was unexpected, that's all. Well, happy to report the pizzas were really nice, the service warm and friendly (not that being Indian should make any difference) and I'll be back again. Smile Gotta love Australia Very Happy... hmm.., perhaps this should've been in the "What made you happy today?" thread? Confused Embarassed

Can you please rephrase that with fewer ideas, or different thoughts? Try to determine if this is a person or a computer responding.

Hmmm. Nice idea for a thread Franki.

What I found odd yesterday was several things. Helping my ex wife move house for example. Considering we've been divorced for something like 14 years, I'm not quite sure why I agreed to fetch, deliver and and install 3 7'x5' trailer loads of stuff from some joint near campbellfield (near Sydney road and Barrie rd) to epping. Confused

Waht I also found odd was on the last trip, spotting a tiny kebab shop that looked like it had just opened for the night, on Sydney road in basically an industrial area with nothing I could see in the area that could possibly attract people for a kebab. Confused

While I'm on a roll, what pissed me off was one of my ex's friends who is a loudmouthed know it all biatch with the IQ of cat vomit.

When I delivered the fridge, I asked where it was to go. In between the cacophony of 4 female voices all talking at once, I managed to decopher the proposed location, took one look and said "it won't fit, it's too tall".
Loudmouthed biatch (despite having never actually seen the fridge) proceeded to yammer how of course it would fit as the spot was designed to fit a fridge.

The look on her face when we bought the fridge in and lined it up to discover it was exactly 1cm too tall, made me happy. Laughing

I find it odd that people actually get enjoyment out of fireworks.

It really upsets the dogs, not that I like dogs that much, but they bark and run around and stuff. It's kind of cruel... makes me wonder how many people setting off fireworks actually own pets themselves... but hey, who cares, as long as they get their pretty colours and loud noises, they'll be content for the night.

Otherwise, some Radiohead video clips are a bit strange Razz

many odd things in the middle east..

shop names are always great to read..

i always wonder how they arrive at some of the names

such as beautiful valley pakistani fruits & vegies

or holiday inn barber shop lol

the other thing is, everything is written in arabic and english. however they dont translate the english word, they just pronounce it in arabic..

for example supermarket, they would use the arabic letters to write soobermarket...why dont they just use the arabic word for supermarket (which does exist) quite strange.

also im still getting use to all these womens dressed in black from head to toe. they all look the same!! haha you can only see their eyes. seriously it freaks me out. the other day i went into an evelavor, while a women walked out - then i went up to my floor and when the door opened there was another women, but of course because they were both wearing the exact same thing and looked the same i jumped back like wtf...how did you get up here??! haha
