They got given pick 19.
Personally I am supportive of this because lets be honest, who would want to live in Brisbane _________________ "You must be a parking ticket, cuz you got fine written all over you" Glen Quagmire |

That was no doubt part of the agreement to accept the coaching position. I hope the AFL gives them a better draw than this year. |

Personally don't like Brisbane FBC but good luck to them. It won't help them because players will continue to leave but it couldn't happen to a nicer club. |

You have to look at this in context ...
the AFL used to gift them premierships (now they are trying to do that for GWS) with the extra salary cap and paying a massive marketing allowance to get Matthews up there, so it's arguably a move in the right direction. _________________ All We Can Be |

No free agent compensation, no priority picks. Nothing. If you cannot manage your club efficiently and effectively, if you cannot retain players because you cannot provide the right environment, if you cannot attract sponsers, then suffer the consequences. I would, however, strongly support draftees being signed on a 3-4 year contract so that the club has a decent time to work with them. I would also remove the players' right to veto a trade. This is a business and a full time job, well paid. Where else do employees tell the employer where they will work? _________________ No one needs to get hurt, it's only business. |

The AFLPA would never agree to anything but equal employment conditions for all 18 competing clubs.
Besides, the draft concept itself is effectively "restraint of trade". _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |
