Spot on, every player should be told "if you don't get suspended you haven't done you job"
The blood of the Hawks has to flow like the rivers of ancient Babylon. |
That'll give the lollipop brigade the perfect excuse for 2017 - we started the year with key players missing and couldn't get any cohesion. |

Shouldn't matter considering most of em will be injured anyway. _________________ Defender...........

Awaiting the cliche-o-meter to be awash with "ripping into pre-season" and membership spin
But this season, horrible, can't wait for it to be over (doubtless after one more pasting) |
Truly, I have found this season both frustrating and exciting at different times. I was finding it very hard to keep the faith until the bye, though the Geelong game lit things up a little. Since the bye, though, I have seen a young side really starting to hit its straps. In some ways, I find this phase of a team's development the most exciting period of all as a fan. Smashing weak sides week after week, as we did in 2011, is pleasant ; but it's the moment when you finally break through on the climb that is the most exhilarating. I recall the Carlton game in 1988 or so, when Starc kicked three in the last ten minutes and it was clear that we were really becoming a powerhouse again after years of darkness. That was delirium.
We are clearly not quite there yet, but the development in the second half is great to see, and I love to see confidence and belief growing. As Mike Sheahan said recently, after that game against the Dogs, we actually looked an exciting young side, and I look forward to each week at the moment. |
Always love your enthusiasm mate, always good to read
I'm afraid for me, I've HATED this whole year. I've hated how divisive I've found it, how lacking in passion I've been, how distant I feel from the players, and now Dane Swan gone!
New heroes will emerge I'm sure, but I hope you can understand, that I've felt "my" Collingwood is gone somehow...
At the moment, I'm in need of a break from...this! I'm sure I'll be energized next season, but I need a break from Moanna Hope stories, netball exclusives, "rip into pre season" spin and trade radio with Barrett...
I need a break from the frustration! UFC here I come... |
I can understand it, brother. When the good times roll again, and they will sooner or later, we'll all be side by side singing the song again. Here's to 2017. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

Last game of the year. Nothing to lose. Just go out and play your best and smash the crap out of them. Can't make the finals but we can still shape where they all finish up. Hopefully this isn't Cloke's last game for us. I'd love for him for find some mongrel and make gibbo his bitch. I know a lot of people aren't giving us much hope but I don't see why we can't match it with them and beat them. They'll have one eye on the finals and won't want to play extra hard. Our best is good enough. Just remember the cats game. We bring that again and we win. |

We're up against the reigning 3 time Premiers who need to win this game to secure their top 4 spot. We will be missing Moore, Fasolo, Swan, Elliott, Scharenberg, Ramsay, Reid, Broomhead, Langdon and Adams from our best 22. So we'll only have half a team. Can we win? You bet we can. Pies by 14 points! |

YEP, the pressure is all on the Piss and Poop, not on us, they are favourites, they have the pressure of Finals on them. Just smack em down and around, legally, run em off their ageing legs, stir em up, and go for it !!!! _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Hitting the Hawks hard won't matter as all teams have a bye before finals. So the strategy of wearing them out before their first final doesn't work anymore. _________________ Fighting against the objectification of woman. |

Do you know what the real kicker is? Our unlikely victory against GWS (and to a lesser extend WCE), means Haw are odds-on to make too 4. If either one of these teams had have won like they were meant to (or if Nic Nat didn't crush GWS at the death), Haw would most likely be in 5th or 6th spot. A charmed year they have most definitely had. _________________ Est. 2002 |

Early in the year I tipped both the Hawks and Cats to miss the granny this year. I reckon that will be the case. Swans vs Crows is my tip. |

In early Feb, I picked a Hawthorn - Swans GF.
At least we had one team in common RB.... _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine! |

True RB, true.
I absolutely bloody HATE saying it but I think the Hawks will prevail..... _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine! |

Annoying bunch of tin-arse pricks those Whoreks, aren't they?
That early 2016 trifecta they fluked [three point wins, three weeks running], is really saving their arse now.
If it costs GWS a top four spot, then they can only blame themselves for that final 10 second tactical brain-fade against the Weasels.

Don't care; popped shoulder sockets and fractured collarbones take more than two weeks to knit properly... How 'bout we distribute a couple of 'em? _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |
