It hurts to see such a famous Collngwood name at another club, especially one that his grandad would have hated. Apparently impressed on Sunday for Casey - 3 goals.

I suppose it didn't hurt as much because Liam wasn't a great player, just a good one. I think we actually turned up the opportunity to select him.

Billy Picken was a great player, so were Ricky Barham, Craig Davis, Rod Orborne, Craig Kelly, Monkey, Stewart, Starch, Sheppard, Orval etc etc. However sometimes, their sons are not wanting to play for us for long (Nick Davis), not up to it OR we simply don't get the opportunity to draft them first time round.
There is always the chance of a future player swap. Idea

In interviews and from other sources it is obvious this kid feels no connection to our club, I have no time for him. Move on.

This. He supported Richmond growing up.

The champions of our glorious 1958 team, like the late Hooker Harrison, would turn in their graves if they knew the grandson of the Weed was with the silver tail snow bound Toffs Deeees. How the $£$%^%%$ hell did this happen. ????

I'd have thought allowing a family member to play for a team his family played for would have been something they'd look at, but I guess father/son is close enough.

Apparently it would have been in the medical room if he'd been drafted by the Pies.
