Reid and Shaz. Would look a lot different with those two down there. They are the cream that is missing. Reid will be back this week. Shaz next year. Need one smooth mover/user to step up and we will be fine.

Scharenberg hasn't proved anything at senior level yet or even if he'll make it especially in light of his horrendous run with injuries.

We need more than putting faith in a 4 game kid with 2 stuffed knees to solve our defensive flaws before I'll be sleeping easier at night.

Shazza is a long term prospect… but for a quick fix of class - Reid, Oxley and Aish.

Aish was a top 10 draft and has beaut skills - give him a role on the half back flank to create and run. Oxley is a good kick also and can intercept or read the ball well.

The team lacked ideas when coming to of defence against the swans - it was there a lot but the rebound was slow, predictable and barely up to AFL standard!

Reid and Varcoe are probably the only decent ball users we have down back.

Reid is great as he can be a brilliant marking defender which I think is important.

Varcoe speaks for himself.

Williams, Toovey, Brown, Sinclair and Aish are all average ball users. Aish may prove me wrong, but I don't read much into VFL footy.

Our biggest problem, other than Trelor, we have not recruited many elite ball users via free agency.

We have players that have some skill, but not many that hurt you with the ball.
