Apparently he was abused at last night's game (nothing about his race or faith), yet it is under investigation.....

Why is it difficult to accept that he was targetted because he was playing a blinder against us?

Much more honest footballer than Goodes and not a sook. Given the signage at the ground it's not too much of a stretch to assume that there may well have been some anti-Muslim sentiment in sections of the crowd.

A post on the Richmond boards at BigFooty says that a Richmond supporter was calling him a terrorist and such. The relevant supporter was thrown out of the ground.

If you mean "the new Adam Goodes" as in "someone who is despised by some football supporters because of his ethnic/cultural background", then the answer is probably yes, sadly.

Actually the reason a lot of people didn't like Goodes had nothing to do with his ethinicity or cultural back ground. Only a minority.

So the answer is probably no.

Oh that's right we've been round and round this merry go round before .......

You've missed the point, David. The link is more obvious than that - they're both indigenous Muslims. Shocked

Yes, very much so. We just let him rack up the possessions.

Ffs this shit is getting boring. Nick's has become a site where on the look-out precious Nancies wait for the first slip up and start a thread. What a piss weak community we've become.

I think you may find that the thread was started by someone who thinks exactly as you do. But, hey, whatever.

Lumumba was getting booed by the Essendon supporters but I'm not sure why. Maybe he was involved in an incident before I started watching. Anyone know?

Treloar was getting booed all night by Richmond supporters

Buckley used to routinely get booed by opposition supporters.
