Turkey, or more accurately, Erdogan opening the border has caused a huge issue for Greece, Bulgaria and most other nations that are on the way to the Northern European countries.
Really not sure how Turkey became part of NATO and may become part of the EU.

Also the USA wanted a Nato country close enough to base nukes and hit Russia.
For now Greece is keeping them back with tear gas, rubber bullets and live rounds (warning shots so far). Erdogan is having a hissy fit because NATO wont back his invasion of Syria. Trying to become the Sultan of a Neo Ottoman empire  |
