Those players that would be/could threaten our best team not available last night:
1. Brent Mcaffer
2. Matt Scharenberg
3. Taylor Adams
4. Jarrod Witts
5. L. Greenwood
6. B. Reid
7. N. Freeman
8. Steele Sidebottom
9. Darcy Moore
10. Jordan DeGoey
11. Ben Kennedy
Plus Depth players:
12. A Fasolo
13. C. Young
14. J. Marsh
15. B. Sinclair
16. M. Goodyear
We are well positioned to strengthen as the season progresses. Obviously St Kilda are a vulnerable side minus N Riewoldt however if we play a good brand of footy, gradually ease in the missing talent, competition for spots shall heat up.
So if Bucks can conjure 10 wins + it sets up a 14+ win season and re-emergence as a finals force for 2016. Yes, this year would be nice to play finals however we need them to "gel" together as a cohesive unit first. _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |

sinclair is best 22 whether you like it or not.
we could win 10-12 games. that would most likely get us 8th-11th.
even if those that are injured do all come back it will take time to gel like you have pointed out. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

We have an easier draw than last year.
So it could be possible. _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest. |

Another BS post that accepts mediocrity! Back your side in for once and accept that we can win at least 16-18 if we show the guts we did last night. Great business people and military Generals always aim high and believe in themselves. Useless public servants and others who hide in safe havens always aim low and them gutlessly claim they are more realistic. Oh crap. All they are are those who never take risks so we never achieve great things. The excitement is believing in us winning 16-18 can become a self fulfilling prophecy. Its all Psychological. If you aim low like you; guess what. You most likely achieve it. Aim high or go follow Carlton. _________________ I love this club and I hold anyone in contempt who does not think it is worth fighting for. |

Winning 10+ games would indeed be a great result, but let's not get too far ahead of ourselves—we've beaten two likely bottom 4 teams. How we go against mid-range teams like Essendon, Geelong, North Melbourne and West Coast will be more telling. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

david, take a look at our fixture and count how many games you think we can win. it's a pretty good draw we have and if we are on our game we can beat many of those in the mid tier of teams.
sure we might have only beaten bottom four teams but we did beat them well not withstanding the lions' comeback. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

On current form, I have us on about 8 wins, but that's a conservative estimate. Hope I'm thoroughly wrong! _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

If we're going to be good this year , we're going to be 8-3 by round 11, having lost to Adelaide, Essendon and Geelong but beaten North and Richmond (other middle tier teams). If we're going to be just ok, we'll still be 6-5 or so, only beating Brisbane, Saints, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Carlton and GWS.
We can easily win 8 games cause our draw is pretty good (we play Carlton and Bulldogs in the back end of the year), but if we can match it with the middle ranked teams (North, Richmond twice, West Coast) we can win 12 (and probably play finals) and if we manage to be 8-3 by the bye, get a few good players back in the middle of the year and the kids keep gelling maybe we can take out a Geelong or an Essendon or a Port in the second half of the year, and 14 wins will be at or about 4th spot.
But 10 wins is a good starting point!
