It was OK to attack the previous Government but not OK to attack the Captains Government. Laughing Laughing Laughing

If the government is 'good enough' then a newspaper campaign wont do anything. Fairfax tried to bring down Howard for years. Abbott & Co are doing just fine bringing down their own government.

Yes I agree, I think the current bunch of idiots are doing enough self harm that they will be their own downfall without the help of any media organisation. If I can run through what the Murdoch media did to the previous idiots I think Murdoch is way in front in political bias. Shocked

Male bovine manure. Howard kept an army of floogs to ring up the ABC on any topic and do a pre emptive rave about Keating. His minions, including David from Springwood and George Fishman inundated Faifax papers with published letters. He also used your money, assuming you and your mates pay taxes, to spend a fortune on government advertising and media management.

Fairfax also gave gainful employment to the amazing ex-Stalinist turned redneck Paddy MacGuinness, remember him?

Did the Herald Sun ever once criticize the Kennett Government?

It has happened again. Yet again I am not making this up.

Things are getting a bit tetchy in Redneck Land. Someone at work had left the radio on 2GB, which is the darkest place for conservative shills, apparatchiks whatever...

Ray Hadley was on. Ray is a Rugby League heavyweight, and also a big time conservative commentator up here. He was discussing the article about the Libs wanting to get rid of Hockey:
Quote:

Tony Abbott being urged to consider dumping Joe Hockey and calling a March election: cabinet ministers
Date
August 31, 2015 - 7:10AM The Age James Massola

...with a Liberal spokesman. Apart from being a tad Molly meets ABBA, big Ray asserted that the Fairfax journalist had made it all up, just like the ABC had made it all up about the Liberal candidate for Canning, and the ABC and Fairfax make it all up as a matter of course.

Who told you? says the Liberal

Says Ray "Andrew Bolt."

It's pretty ridiculous, isn't it. Imagine if Fairfax were actually doing anything like what News Corp did last election.

We're not talking about what the editorial says on election day. We're talking about a month-long front-page campaign aimed at getting a party into government.

Indeed they did Wokko!

Nevertheless Dutton is a fool! The Liberals will lose due to inept policies not because Fairfax is after them.
