- Assuming he survives Bill Davoren's clutches this week (uh, I mean this week's training sessions), Brent Macaffer will make his first appearance for the VFL Magpies since Round 21 of 2012.

can remove the asterisk. not going to happen.
that some of the teams around us still have a bye in hand is useful. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

Done.
Which is a bit of a shame, but it's always great to be at Victoria Park regardless. Means a bit of a mad dash afterwards to the G, though... _________________ I am vengeance. I am the night. I am MagpieBat. |

Gault out injured. But hopefully the return of many players to the team including Macaffer, Dwyer, Oxley, DeGoey and with Clokey returning to seniors we should see around 16 AFL listed players. _________________ Magpies love pies(Lol) |

We were discussing next week's game against Richmond, which starts in the morning and finishes about 30 to 40 minutes before the seniors play Richmond at the G. _________________ I am vengeance. I am the night. I am MagpieBat. |

The team will be somewhat weakened with Grundy coming back to replace Witts but should be strengthened a bit by the return of Moore and Scharenberg. |

Grundy be very Stiff to get Dropped. Grundy back in the VFL make no Difference and I say make it Stronger
Moore will make way for Cloke.
Who would Take Scharanberg _________________ I am Da Man |

Any of PK ("he had statistics almost identical to last week’s game. The only difference was three goals – reward for a strong work ethic and run through the midfield"), Goldie ("His workrate was impressive as he pushed up the ground and gathered possessions, including two inside 50s in the third quarter"), Kennedy ("It’s now been two great games in a row for Kennedy who was named Collingwood’s best player for his 25-disposal performance"), White ("He marked the ball well and provided Collingwood’s leading target in the forward line. A four-goal performance will once again put his name in AFL contention"), Young ("Young had 22 disposals in an impressive game on the wing. He covered the ground thoroughly while assisting in defence, finishing with seven inside 50s and five rebound 50s") or Armstrong ("Armstrong’s disposals were damaging on the large expenses of the MCG. He elected to kick the ball rather than handball, with 90 per cent of his possessions kicks. One of the Magpies most valuable outside users of the ball"). The italicised comments are from the player reviews at http://www.collingwoodfc.com.au/news/2015-08-11/vfl-stats-and-comments-round-17
There's not much point having all these guys on the list if we're not going to reward them for their good play. Every one of them is better than Scharenberg, at this early stage of his career. If we want to gift him senior games, we could do that development work for him once he's re-signed. |

Add...
Witts ( In addition to having 37 hitouts, 13 contested possessions suggest Witts played the role of an inside midfielder in his 20-disposal performance. Two contested marks and a goal from a set shot also suggest he played the role of a full forward.)
Could very easily slot in for Grundy given how poor his game was. |
