Yeh I highly doubt that. From all reports he had a great game and is a strong chance for selection.

He was also positive about Scharenberg. Guess he will be staying too then:

I don't think we need Maynard back this week. He's had a good taste of senior action already. Kennedy and Scharenberg are the two we should be bringing in.

The comments about Scharenberg are not, as I understand it, Dale Tapping's. They are part of the "Collingwood Media Player Review". I am very disappointed that the Club has abandoned its time-honoured approach of having a member of the VFL coaching-team write the player reviews. What you have in that article are some general observations from the Coach about the game in the preambular paragraphs, then the individual player reviews written by the media unit, interspersed with a couple of attributed comments (one by the Caff, one by Tapping on Jesse White).
Have a look at the rubbish written about Seedsman (the reported stats actually show that he had three kicks for the day and missed the target with 25% of his handballs): "While Seedsman didn’t have a lot of the ball, the way he used it certainly made his performance memorable. He kicked the ball at 100 per cent efficiency and finished with an overall disposal efficiency of 81.8 per cent." QED. |

^^Well, even better! The media are the only ones suggesting Scharenberg could leave at this point, if they're saying good things about him he must be staying!
Seriously though, that is a disappointing development. Maybe the VFL coaches got sick of saying things like: "Martin was brilliant today, surely in line for senior honours!" and being ignored by the selectors  .

See what PK can do. Also bring White in for Moore. He's young, he'll have plenty of opportunities but aside from that one breakout game, he's been mostly quiet.
Goldsack hasn't done much but I agree that he'll get the call up, unless they throw Moore back there for a go.

The Berg, sure, Kennedy no thanks.
FWIW reckon Witts will be back and don't think we'll drop Grundy because he's started to come into some form after seemingly struggling. Although that doesn't help us down back with Browny gone does it. Times like these we rue the loss of Keeffe - badly. Suspect Moore will have to switch to a backman role this week.
That might open the door for White or Patty K to come in.
Just my thoughts...guess we'll know in 3 hours.

| I'm a bit disappointed not to see Witts get a recall, but I'm rapt to see Maynard come straight back in. This kid will be a gun. As hard as nails and a beautiful kick. I'd like Frost to play at full back with Maynard doing the kick ins. |
