Shit. And drinking yourself into oblivion each day won't help you keep weight off either.

Can you at least do laps in the pool?

Haven't been drinking much at all lately Stui (I've had a cold/flu for the past week) or doing any sort of exercise.

As soon as this colds gone that's exactly what I will be doing. Got an indoor heated pool just a 5k bike ride away. I haven't had a swim for ages so that should be interesting Shocked

Mate get in that pool 2-3 times a week, and really give the shoulders a work out in the water, keep that tank of yours ticking over, then back on the bike for the trip home.
Reckon you'll be primed to inhale the grub once you walk in the door.
This sounds like a most practical course of action, providing the quack gives you the all clear eh?

Doing laps in the pool is not among my strongest traits.

check with the physio first.

ive got high hamstring tendinopathy, literally a pain in the butt! my physio said do not swim! the combo with chronic disc problem, swimming is a no no. I use the cross trainer, (low impact on your joints, but can still get your heart rate up) and weights, cant beat weights to burn fat off!!

FFS Jo, even googling that, and reading the url below gave me skiatic horrors

Oh man it's awful! Sometimes its really bad, others, hardly there! It's fun in economy on a long plane trip! I'm doing some stuff to help it heal, (doc gave me a happy holiday plan to get me up the rocky steps!) and in a couple of weeks, when I've been doing it properly and consistently for hopefully long enough to stop most of the pain, I'll go back for some exercises to strengthen the muscles in and around the area to prevent reoccurrence.

Apparently, at 52, it's not good to touch your straight knees with your head just because you can! Worst thing is, after you unwittingly overstretch it, you stretch it more to ease the pain, when you should be contracting instead! Butt lifts is the order of the day! Clench clench clench!

Oh! And have you any pics to show us on social media?
And just to clarify: I meant pics of the Rocky steps in Phily, and perhaps not so much the butt-clenching episodes. But hey, whatever you guys snapped on your camera, i'm happy to have a stooge at! Razz
