Last year we began the season well, winning 8 of the first 11 games, before injuries and player fatigue took a terrible toll on our team, resulting in us limping to the end of the season and missing out on a finals berth.

This year, we have begun similarly, but are already in a better position, injury wise, and we have reason to be confident of gaining the services of Reid, Greenwood, Moore, Scharenberg, Freeman and Marsh towards the latter part of the season. Of course, we could still lose a host of players to injury, but at this stage we look like being in a stronger physical shape than we were last year. Given the games we are getting into newbies in Oxley, Ramsay, De Goey, Crisp as well as relative newbies in Frost, Adams, Langdon, Broomhead, Witts and Grundy, I'm confident that if we manage to make the finals, we should be in a position to perform well. Obviously, there's a host of iffs, butts and maybes, but overall I'm excited to see how this season unfolds.

Might as well say we have had 2 season ending injuries in Keefe and Thomas unfortunately.
