I'm not thinking they would invade or anything so obvious, just say a little graft and corruption to get a few ISIS people into the infected areas to throw a little cash around to get objective done. |
Actually not that hard to do, and potentially fairly scary outcome. A human biological weapon.
Put someone with Ebola on a new york subway for example, it could be very nasty in the right (wrong?) circumstances. |
Maybe we should stop now, Orange is not my color! |

Abbott said today that God is on our side. So we've God on Team Australia, I'm guessing as the Captain. I don't know who's playing for Team Islamic State, but they're pretty screwed if Tone's on the money. |

FMD, God is always on everyone's side. The Nazi's claimed God was on their side in internal propaganda, as did the septics and poms.
More fkn wars and atrocities have been committed in the name of God (of various persuasions) than just about any other reason. _________________ In my defence, I was left unsupervised |

^ ptid, i can't believe that you think it's a valid argument that the US government should react to every major world crisis as it would if it were a state of the USA. And if you believe that, then surely it would be more germane to damn our own government for failing to react as it would if the ebola virus were happening in Adelaide ?
In truth, governments have responsibility to their own people, and human beings have responsibilities to other human beings. As you rightly said, we all know that - and we should all be tipping in our personal money to help the people affected, assuming we're not actually personally prepared to go and do the nursing.
In additin, some of that donation should be delivered through our governments, for efficiency reasons, as here - with a quarter of a billion dollars being creditably donated by the Us and EU to support the victims and the states which are fighting Ebola.
The suggestion that the Us is culpable because because it does not support Liberia and Sierra Leone as it would Kentucky, or because it's also trying to address the IS problem at the same time, seems to me so strange an angle to take, that it surely exemplifies an irrational agenda. It is also interestingly selective, as it ignores the various autocratic states that show little to no interest in the plight of the affected people, while impugning the democracies who do. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |
