Post subject: Sick of having to visit different boards all day | |
|
I am finding it really annoying having to go to the trade forum, the gen discussion forum and other forums so as to get everyones views on a topic.
I mean, why do some Dayne beams threads stay and why do some go? People are posting the same stuff on both forums at this point. I noticed swoop is comparing the beams trade to the judd trade on the draft forum while I am doing it on the Gen discussion forum.
I suggest the mods have a meeting and figure this out pronto.
do we even need three boards, given how neat our board is (organized by threads). _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

I'm inclined to agree. Why do we need a separate forum for trade/draft talk, especially at this time of year when ALL the news is about those very subjects?
It seems to me the other forums are just convenient places for the mods to bury threads they don't like the tenor of. _________________ "If at first you dont succeed...

THE other part of Nicks is a kinda ghost town really, I rarely venture there, this is where the action is, the argey bargey, debates, aggro, views, scuttlebutt, innuendo, rumours, this is where its at, to coin a saying from my salad days ! _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Actually nice to visit the other rooms of Nicks, more peaceful.
And they are only a few clicks of the mouse away. _________________ If you are foolish enough to be contented, don't show it, but just grumble with the rest. - Jerome K Jerome |

So it is agreed by the Nicks members,
- one general discussion thread for everything we care to discuss and
- another' burial ground' thread for the mods _________________ One team, one dream - the Pies and this year's premiership |

How about we just merge the DTM and main thread from the start of the trade period ? |

Draft/Trade talk about players who are not leaving or coming to Collingwood don't belong in GD, not matter how you try spinning it.
I go to GD to read about General (Collingwood) stuff, not to read about players from other teams or non-collingwood related AFL issues. _________________ How would Siri know when to answer "Hey Siri" unless it is listening in to everything you say? |

This thread should, of course, be moved to the General Feedback forum.
Just saying.... |

I'm all for the trade and draft stuff having it's own space. FFS it's just grouping stuff by categories, it actually makes for a cleaner user experience. If everything was just lumped on one page it would be unusable. Most BB's I go on have sub forums for different topics.

Many years ago, the prevailing opinion was that General Discussion was always flooded with trade specific threads at this time of year,
and that more general items were lost in that tide.
No matter what we do, one side will be unhappy. I will suggest to the mods team that we run a poll after the trade period finishes. |

Thanks for considering the issue. the other p[roblem is that when you click on a moved thread, you actually get transported to that board. makes you feel like you landed in the Twighlight zone! Hard to get out. _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk .......
