Better get a bucket if you think $150K a year would get it done, if you meant $250-300K a year then I'd reckon you're about right. |

I reckon that's fair. Hoping it's not a 3 year deal though. |

So if you can only have one what would it be?
Varcoe or pick 23/25?
I'm going the pick. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

Me to. Varcoe may well be 26 and offer some good games over a few years to the Pies but a 2nd round pick could offer 200 games over 10-12 years. And the 40-50 games Varcoe gets are 40-50 games development that Broomhead, or Kennedy, or Seedsman, or Freeman, or Ramsay, or Langdon, or Sinclair don't get. And does he really offer that much more than the player listed? |

Still don't see why we need to get involved in the Clark to Geelong deal.
Let's sort out the Beams trade and then do the H trade to Melb.
We don't need Varcoe he adds NO VALUE _________________ B.U.M.S ROCK...That's Ballarat United Magpies Supporters.....Long trip but even longer hangovers! |

The question is whether that's on offer.
The next question is, how young do you want to go? The club is clearly trying hard to keep its age profile roughly what it was before losing Beams and Lumumba. We were too young before that, going younger is a definite risk. _________________ Well done boys!

I think there's some upside to Varcoe.
* X factor
* Great disposal....might be a handy designated kick in guy? Especially if he can be a sweeping half back flanker. Can see him floating forward to nail a few from half back too.
* Fresh start might inspire something, and if it does, could be something we don't have in abundance.

Now that the Trengove deal is off the table for the D's i would be backing out of this deal at a rate of knots. We want the 23 for H or do a direct swap with the Roos and keep our 25..
This will be the saving grace for the Beams trade. |
