Apparently a straight swap is the rumour. Beams can play with his mate Heater. The word is (rumours) is that Beams is just using family as an excuse. Either that or Collingwood are potentially looking to bluff Brisbane into doing a deal.

FFS, Gold Coast is where his old man lives! He wants to go home, QLD is his "home" and he wants to be with his dad, Gold Coast is where his "dad is". End of story.
Bloody sick of pandering to players who play the victim card just to get what they want.
And bugger Brisbane. Pick 5 and a player or bugger off.... Evil or Very Mad Mad

Contrary to speculation, @AdamTreloar is very much a required player and will not be traded. End of story.

Do you think he's better than Beams?

.

Let's put it this way Id rather have Treloar on the list today than Beams.

Given that Id throw in Sinclair if it made it compelling to GWS.
I've made it no secret I have serious concerns over Sinclair

maybe 3rd round as well went too far Smile

Treloar on the list brings genuine positivity and excitement to this football club.

I'd rather have him on the list, but that's now taking into account that it appears Beams is a bit of dick.

I obviously rate Sinclair higher than you so we're going to disagree, but to me he's not a throwaway player we should just include into a trade. He's one of the only lads we've got who possess genuine leg speed, he's also hard at it and he's disposal has been consistently on the up.

He would certainly bring genuine positivity, I agree, but I don't want us to to give more than we have to.

GWS - WILL NOT trade this bloke - he would be one of 3 untouchables if they could guarantee he'd stay and I think he would.
Treloar is the next best thing to Nate Fyfe.

He does it all - wins his own ball, runs and carries, spreads and is a fantastic overhead mark.

In fact at Fyfes age Treloar will be as good - could be better.

He has the potential to win a brownlow and while that might not mean much, he would be one of the few players I WOULD trade in a straight swap for Beams.

We would be better off with this deal. He is as tough, taller, faster, stronger and runs both ways. He is as good a kick at goal in play, and a better set-shot and overhead mark.

I think the beams / treloar comparisons are a bit unfair. Beams is probably 3 years older and played 60 / 70 more games.
Anyway, if treloar isnt going anywhere, then lets throw the cat amongst the giants and throw dylan shiel a carrot. Surely they would all want to come back here sooner than later. Talk was that the tigers made a play at shiel but couldnt get it done. Where there is smoke, there is fire or at the very least, another totally unfounded rumour.

We have been "into" D Shiel since mid year. I love him, he is my favorite GWS player since I started watching him play as a 17yr old.

In saying that, I would take Treloar over Shiel in a heart beat.

Spot on !

Quick Nicksters, someone in Toorak go wake up Eddie, pick up Bucks, go get Sinkers and take them to SOS's house to sort it out.

Wait for them out the front.

Then go grab Heater and a case of Crownies and get to Beamsy's place.

Surely Treloar would rather be back home on huge coin, playing for the biggest club in the land.

Just text Adz the good news when its done, hint that if he wants Bucks to piss off, its probably going to happen. In fact he can make the call after pre-season.

Win win win win Smile

At least this type of rumor will get Brisbane to pull their finger out.

Just a word of warning people: this story was started by Damian Barrett, who raised it with Plough on trade radio so of course there could be Jack schitt in it

A bit off the spot, actually. Treloar is not taller than Beams (186cm), he's only 180cm tall.

So, it was started by an Ambulance Chaser, and a dud coach. That pretty much puts this one to bed.

If Treloar says he wants to be back home closer to family.

(and closer to good friends of VicPol)

And Beams says GWS is ok - why can't we get a deal done?

C'mon Doc this is positive and pro-active.

Oh, I agree, but the source is a real worry, especially Barrett - complete and utter Muppet.
