Post subject: Dale Thomas Brownlow Voting???Reply with quote

One of our more ardent and vocal Dale Thomas fans stated on his leaving of Collingwood that we had forced out an absolute gun and a probable Brownlow Medal winner in another unmitigated self inflicted disaster for the club. I respect this posters opinion very highly and have no reason to doubt his views.

I didn't watch the count but knowing Matt Priddis won,I have to assume that Daisy was thereabouts as well seeing as he played 20 games this year for the Blues.

Can anyone tell me how well he polled last night where he placed and if you can let me know how Wellingham, Dawes and Heater (all part of our recent horrific talent bleed) went in the voting as well?

Heath Shaw, Dale Thomas & Wellingham 0 votes.
Dawes 2 votes
Rhyce Shaw 1 vote (figured he deserved a mention.)

I note Daisy finished 10th in the B & F. Must have been part of his contract...

Was it Nathan Buckley's fault that he wasn't able to get a higher position in the best and fairest in that contract of his?

What's even more remarkable is that C.Judd finished 7th.

Not only that but the "new kid" Tommy Langdon earned his first brownlow vote when he lined up on Thomas.
Im sure reading Daisy's lips at the time he questioned who this kid was.

Im sure he knows now Laughing

I don't miss dollar daisy one friggin iota, and he is only a fraction of the player he was with us, as his woeful brownlow votes show.

No votes for Daisy???

But, but, but he's the best footballer in the AFL according to some and was going to win a Brownlow for the Scum for sure.

How can this be? He played nearly every game and his body was 100% ready to go (MM won't play players who aren't he says).

Something's not adding up and I blame Buckley. He must have gotten into the umpires ear (as a former Brownlow medallist himself and therefore a pet) and said "guys do us a solid and give Daisy a miss with the votes and throw his votes bloody Priddis's or some other scrubbers way this year ok".

No other explanation for it I'm afraid.

Doesn't Judd get a vote just by turning up to training?

Oh gawd, you just won't let it go, will you! Last year you all said he wouldn't play a game, he played 20. No one ever suggested or thought that he'd have a great year this year, but the fact is that he got better as the year progressed and will be far better next year. Speaking of which, how did his replacement go for us? I think this might just qualify as the single most childish and pointless thread in Nick's history! Quite a feat Flash! The title of this thread should really have been "Nyah, nyah!"

BTW, what you're saying here is that players who didn't poll last night are worthless. That's a pretty poor way of describing Adams, Armstrong, Blair, Frost, Goldsack, Kennedy, Lumumba, McCaffer, Keefe, Reid, White, Williams, Witts, & Grundy, among others. Want me to go through the rest of the 'worthless' players in the AFL? Where's that 'roll eyes' emoticon?
