Post subject: Kruezer - Did anyone else hear Jay Clark on SEN? | |
|
I'm pretty sure Jay Clark said he has heard we are into him. Just another rumour. But, wanted to make sure I wasn't hearing things.
Not sure he's what we need. He's always injured. A talent for sure, but he is hardly on the park. Not sure of his contract status. |

Great way to increase your injury list before 2015 had even come around _________________ - Side By Side - |

Given we're going after Clark, there's no way we'd be after another ruckman, especially with Witts, Grundy, White and Cox on our list. |

Here is confirmation that I did hear right:
http://www.sen.com.au/display-article-2013/Collingwood-interested-in-Kreuzer/71490
Quote: | Carlton ruckman Matthew Kreuzer has attracted the interest of a number of clubs in recent days, most notably that of Collingwood.
“There’s been a bit of a whisper going around the last few days that there’s been some clubs interested in Kreuzer,” Brett Anderson told the Morning Glory.
“Collingwood being one who have at least enquired about Kreuzer’s availability.”
The ruckman has had an injury-riddled past five seasons, most notably a ruptured ACL during the 2010 season.
Kreuzer’s contract is set to expire at the end of the 2015 season, so Carlton may look to receive something in return rather than risk losing the former number one pick for nothing.
The news also poses questions for Collingwood’s forward-line and ruck plans for next season given the club currently has young rucks Brodie Grundy and Jarrod Witts on its list, as well as a public interest in Melbourne forward-ruck Mitch Clark.
Jesse White’s future at the Pies may also be called into question. |

I wonder if White might be traded to the Dees for Clark? |

I wouldn't take too much notice of Jay Clark. Comes up with a new rumour every day. With Witts & Grundy developing nicely, we don't need another ruck taking games off them. If anything we just require a back up ruckman in case of injury. |

Perhaps the pies are playing funny buggers with the scum with the implied threat of you bid on Moore and we'll look to take Kruezer next season when F/A kicks in for him.

Kruezer is a 1st ruck. Not a key forward.
Don't understand with Witts and Grundy why we would entertain another ruck. He will be too expensive to have as just a back up. And Witts and Grundy need the exposure to senior footy.
Considering Wood was getting a game ahead of Warnock, I don't understand why they'd trade their best ruck away. Even after trading Hansen the year before.
Makes no sense to me. |

The rumor was probably started by his manager, trying to up his price. |
