I love that bar ! I've only been to Dublin once, about five years ago, but the Guinness factory and the panoramic bar was one of the highlights. They also had an excellent restaurant. A good Irish stew and a pint of guinness is hard to beat. And yes, it does taste better there. I dunno why, it just does.
You probably know this, but if you are still there, make sure you go to Trinity College and Kilmainham Jail. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

^ yes definitely!! The Book Of Kells is truly worth seeing - I go every time I'm home - and Kilmainham gaol is haunting and an absolute must especially for anyone with even a tad of Irish blood!
PTID if you are bored one day wander down O'Connell Street and tell me if the Happy Ring House is still there - and better still take a photo for me
And see if they are still running the traditional music pub crawl tour - it was brilliant - you just wander from pub to pub with a couple of local musicians - they play with mates found in the pubs you go to - you sing, clap and drink along - great craic!!!
And take a bus and go to Bray -it was becoming more commercialised last time I was there - but it's on the water and it is a wanderer's delight - fish and chips in paper on the beach - well rocks - but hey even Dubrovnik had a rocky beach!! _________________ “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” |
