I'll man up and say I had zero faith we could put that performance in tonight. To be honest I picked them by more than we won by!!!
But boy oh boy oh boy, what a performance. So many positives. Still some negatives but lets just enjoy this eh. Hiss, Jack Spain and others.... Do yourselves a favour and just enjoy this one eh??? _________________ Side By Side Forever |

And the world is good.
Don't forget that's with the kids. Those inconsistent little fella's are going to become a great team in 2 or 3 years. But for this year, put in Jolly, Beams, H O'brien and maybe Keefe and Lynch and D Thomas and it's on.
Stuff top four, who cares - we can win every game from here to the finals if we play like that.
I really liked a bit of class in the forward line - when Swan / Sidebottom / Krak / Blair are delivering into the forward 50 it looks a lot better than when the kids do it - nothing against Martin / Kennedy / Dwyer (who had a great game) etc but they need another 50 games to get some more composure.
Very happy. Season is not derailed just yet. After last weeks game I thought we just lacked a bit of class, but this week we showed a bit.
Special mention to Swan - stood up massively.
And to Carlton... Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha !!!
And to the umpires - bad luck, you tried hard but they still lost!!! Muopets!
Very happy

Yep, half way through teh first quarter this looked like a continuation of the terrible confusion and disarray that has dogged the way we've played almost all year... then Reid moved forward, and it all clicked, like magic.
Unbelievable performance ; very, deeply happy after the misery of the last few weeks. And though I thought (with evidence) that he was not up the job, I'm also delighted for Bucks. I hope he can become the coach he deserves to be. Time will tell, but suddenly it is possible.
Fantastic to see Sinclair finally catch fire. Must have been nearly BOG. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |
