No names or hints at names please.

We will wait until the local press are prepared to be more explicit, which they currently are not.

(I'll be crushed if its true)

Obviously the details will be foggy for now, but does anyone know what this means?

Quote:
The 82-year-old, who was not named by police, is in the last category, which ''is generally people who were in the public spotlight at around that time'', the spokesman said.

The Metropolitan Police will not name the man involved unless he is charged.

Police stressed the arrest was not connected to the specific allegations made against Savile.

Huh? So what is he being accused of, exactly? Is there some suggestion that Savile was part of some crime ring?

He has been named in an online bog yesterday.

I do hope it's not true.

Googling his name it seems it was reported back in November that he had been interviewed by Police back then.

That's actually referred to in the Aged article.

Quote:
The Berkshire man was interviewed under caution in late November 2012, five days after a search warrant was executed at his address in Berkshire.
Police stressed Thursday’s arrest was not connected to the specific allegations made against Savile.

At least that's a bonus.

Since Nov last year I've being hearing the same spiel from folks in the UK. If you don't mind, can you elaborate why you'd be crushed?

Quote:
The pensioner from Berkshire, west of London, is one of 11 people arrested so far under Operation Yewtree, which is investigating people linked to Savile.

This mania has gone too far. Is nothing to be left untouched and decent?

What mania, Tannin? Surely, if he is suspected of criminal activity, due process should take its course?

I wholeheartedly agee. What's the world coming to. Rocks the foundations from it's slabs. I'm disturbingly touched by the whole affair.

Next it'll be Mr Squiggle & Joffa boy on kiddie touching charges Shocked , that will shatter my childhood illusions.

Oh pour me a stiff glass of marchants or tarax lemonade because it's sparkarlarklearkling (at least that's what the man in the overcoat told me) Shocked

Difficult to do so without giving the game away - lets just say, IF TRUE, its unpleasant to have fond childhood memories crushed.

My Tarax will need to be black-label!
