There are many sounds you may hear throughout your life.

For those who have yet to experience it the most magnificent spine tingling sound one could here can be experienced Friday night.

Imagine over 50,000 pie supporters lifting and chanting C-O-L-L-I-N-G-W-O-O-D when we get a run on and the cats are left crying in their handbags again.

It can only happen in a prelim final when REAL supporters turn up, and the sound is so moving it literally becomes an entity in its own right!

I look forward almost as much to this as i do the game.
Moments like these define who we are as a club, and surely leaves others jealous of what we collectively create.

You hurt me by saying real supporters turn up Sad, I have no moneyz!

Anyway, I hope you guys do a good job with the chanting and what-not, and I've also had another thought.

Perhaps this is done, but as I'm always on the third level (general admission membership Sad) I might not hear it. But how about continuing a chant when down by 20points (pray it doesn't happen). I truly think, that showing your support when the team is at a low would offer more than when they're thrashing the opponent or building momentum. It would show the players that you still have confidence in their abilities, and you're still proud to support them. I think they would get an extra kick out of it, and it might start building a comeback.

I think by "real members" he meant to say "non corporates" that seem to hog all the Grand final seats.

Prelim weekend is the "people's weekend", its the last chance that the average supporter has to go to the footy for the year, and as such usually creates the best atmosphere.

Friday night will be huge, and just for the fun of it, I'll probably go Saturday night (AFL membership, gotta love it). Very Happy

This was my first year with a membership, but will look to keep some money around this time next year, haven't been to a live finals game before.

No offence intended Scotch matty was right i was alluding to the crowd at the prelim vs the gf.
Of course we get the noise at any of our huge blockbusters every year, but this is amplified greatly at the prelim.

None was every taken, was just defending my honour... Just in case Razz.

Definitely sounds as though I'll have to head to a Prelim in the future, hopefully next year.

I'll never forget the roar after JA kicked the winning goal against the crows.

Magic moment that'll live forever in the hearts and minds with all those lucky enough to have been there.

Only to witness a GF victory live could beat it.
