Bartel recklessly tackles Dockers young player Nick Suban around the neck and twists him so badly that it looks like the poor bloke has done his ACL or some serious damage to his knee...

I recon he should have a case to answer for, he grabs Suban by the neck and holds him and twists him for a good two seconds.

It just seems that it's a big price to pay now for Suban because of a reckless Bartel free kick.

What are your thoughts???

just one of those things. Nothing in it. Slightly high tackle and unfotunate for the kid that the ACL may have been gone.

was not bartel's fault. The bad tackles are the one's where you pin a guys arms and slam his head into the ground.

Was a high tackle, nothign more

Seems he's done an ankle, not a knee.

it wasn't a reckless tackle it was just a tackle that got him round the neck and the umpire called it a free but it doesn't look good for the freo player.

really? on the replay the knee twisting looked sickening, but i guess thats's "good" news that it's the ankle not the knee

Maybe they should backdate a fine for Rocca for causing Robert Murphy's knee blow out. Let's not forget Medhurst's bump for causing Josh Hunt's knee preseason 09.

I must be mistaken, I must have forgotten the part where Rocca and Medhurst ripped those players around the head and twisted them... My bad I thought they were just bloody tough tackles.
