He wants the Australian car manufacturing industry to be re-established here rather than overseas.

The problem is, Holden make shit cars that no one wants to buy.

The Australian made product was rubbish with a V6 or V8 when the market wanted smaller 4 cylinder cars, or cars with greater fuel economy.

Their Daewoo imports (Cruze, Captiva) are just rebadged Daewoos built in South Korea but no where near the same quality as Kia / Hyundai

And what they imported from GM USA (Equinox and Arcadia) just weren't competitive in the SUV market.

Why would we want to keep manufacturing cars that no one here will buy and no one overseas will.

I’d been reading and sawing hyperbole the wrong way all my life until my 10 kid said it as part of his school curriculum.

I also asked google what a hyperbole was (in my old pro of the word) - she said hyper bowl was a 10 pin bowing game released in the 1980s...

Drove to Toc this morning, on the Hume and about 2km south of Donnybrook rd where you hit Kalkallo, traffic basicaly stopped. Both lanes. So crawled along for a bit, I'm thing maybe there's a covid checkpoint or something.

Crawl a bit more at walking pace, see some signs saying roadwork ahead, 40kmh. Now I'm thinking of the Arj Barker roadworks comedy routine.

Crawl a bit further, getting closer to Donnybrook rd, now it's merge lanes, right lane closed, only left lane working.

Merge to the left and crawl on, witches hats down the middle of the road keeping the right lane clear, still no sign of workers or work.

Finally, up ahead see a truck in the left lane. As I get close to it, I see one bloke standing beside the truck and another guy standing in the grassy area between t he northbound and southbound lanes, taking a piss on a tree.

That was the extent of the roadworks, 100m later it was back to 100kmh zone.

I fkn cracked up laughing for the next 10 minutes. Laughing

Groucho Marx in the 1950's: with look, a pause and a comment.

No swearing, no rudeness, no aggression; just funny:
