I guess most people didnt post utter drivel that gets reposted later on to make the OP look like a dikchead. And hence, arent too worried about it.
I like the old threads popping up - helps remind people whatever tripe they serve up today is there for good and can be reheated for tomorrow ;}
There is a few serial offenders who need to be reminded every hour or so it seems.

No there isn't.
Everyone has an opinion, everyone has a right to an opinion.
But those who are trying to bully others in to never posting their opinions best beware. One day the shoe will be on the other foot and I'm sure they'll squeal like stuck little piggies when they are the one's being bullied.
Make no mistake, this is internet bullying at it's highest level, and an attempt to stifle peoples freedom of speech. |

Unless there's something else going on that I'm unaware of (i.e. apart from the post bumping in general discussion), I don't see how people's freedom of speech is being stifled. If anything, it's a constant reminder that while we are free to say whatever we like, we are also responsible for it. Surely that's what freedom of speech is all about?
I know that I've posted dumb things in the past, and there's not a damn thing I can do about it. Anyone who likes can trawl through search and find stuff that I've written that would make me cringe. I even started a thread encouraging people to repost their most inane comments from over the years - perhaps unsurprisingly, few obliged.
Part of my rationale was that those who have the ability to laugh at themselves are, among other things, immune from the mockery of others.
