Mate, it's his career.
Love this bloke. Cricket won't be the same without the ever smiling number seven.
Haddin would want to get off to a flyer, as Ronchi's breathing down his neck. |

May not have been the greatest wicket keeper ever, but was certainly very good.
But as a wicket keeper/batsman, he's changed the game and the criteria by which every other country measures a keeper batsman.
Legend of the game, down to earth and honest and stuck to his own principles.
Well done Gillie. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Bradman made a duck, too.
Steve Waugh 80.
Warney a 70+ and only one wicket.
Langer a mere 16 or so.
One final innings isn't a reflection of a career...unless you are continuously on the edge of selection - Bichel, Hogg, Rogers - or even one-Test wonders: Nicholson and Hauritz (despite 12 or so ODIs in 2002 and 2003).
Well played, Gilly. |

Legend of the game who will be sorely missed not only for the entertainment he brought every game, but also for the way he conducted himself on the field.
One of those once-in-a-lifetime players who regardless of how the match was going people would stop to watch him bat.
Good luck to Brad Haddin the poor blokes got some big shoes to fill but he looks the player to do it. _________________ A Collingwood supporter since the egg was inseminated.

Legend of the game, Thanks for the memories Gilly. The greatest wicketkeeper batsman of all time.
What a shame for EddieSmith and his fellow, conspiracy cohorts that his replacement will be yet another player from NSW.
