I'm not asking you to feel sympathy for him, just saying that wishing for his suicide is a bit much. But each to their own.

Their mother has forgiven him.

Horrible chain of events, of course he should never have been behind the wheel, and since he was drinking with friends someone should have stopped him getting behind it.

Others ought to have but he still bears prime responsibility. He chose to drink and to drive. Time to get to 0.0 for all drivers.

The murdering driver ought to be given the option of euthanasia. Oxygen thief (as with the mother of the baby left in a car when it was over 40 degrees celcius) - if she did leave a child in the car that is.

WPT, not sure 0.0 will stop anything like this? How many accidents are caused by people being between 0.0 and 0.05 I think that the question that needs to be answered?

People driving under .05 aren't causing these issues, it's those who ignore the law so how the phuck would that make any difference?

Drinking at home with a mate, decided to do a quick trip to the servo ATM for some cash. Probably felt tipsy but fine to drive, made a stupid decision and now several children are dead and he has to live with that for the rest of his life.

Hardly like he meant to do it, I'll reserve the hate and anger for those who deliberately hurt, maim and kill innocents.

You’re right, time to ban all young male drivers.

There’s no universal solution and you’re never going to stop everyone from making bad decisions, but if you want a useful policy response to cases like this, it’s easy: make it mandatory for all manufacturers and/or dealers to include breathalyser devices in all new cars. It won’t stop everyone from drink-driving, and it may not even stop most; but it will stop some, and this guy just might have been one of them. It’d be expensive, but it will save lives.

Not commenting on that.

Having replaced weatherboards down the west side of the house, thought it would be a reasonably simple job to strip back the old paint on the windows and give them a new coat.

FMD, I was wrong. Turns out there's rot in a couple of places. Cut some out and got a piece of timber to replace it, found some more. Mad

Priced a replacement, looking at around $1300 plus installation.

So I have a new project, repairing the window by using a mix of replacement timber and builders bog. Should get at least another 10 years out of it for under $100 but it's going to mean a few weekends worth of fkn around

Being short staffed again. Worked another 18 hrs overtime last few days:

with police on 31/1 finished at 0130 instead of 10pm
Friday worked till midnight instead of 10pm
Saturday came in at 0945 instead of 1.30 pm, finished on time
Today, one staff down worked by myself from 0700, now with Police till 10pm

Friggin’ busy

This martyr complex is hard to deal with 😉😜

Buckled and went to the physio today. It's not my imagination, I have damaged my right shoulder some how. When the physio does some tests and tells me my left arm is stronger than my right, yeah, something's wrong.

No quick fix, no pop things in place, gotta gradually work on some targeted muscles with specific exercises to get things right again and likely several more physio appointments.

FMD
