Gary Lyon named Goldsack as one of our worst?
Think he must be confusing him with Toovey. Toovey was pretty awful but Goldsack was terrific in the last quarter especially.
I gave him votes as recognition of his 'arrival', much as Tannin gives votes to defenders to even things up a bit. |

Actually, Neil, I gave my votes to forwards this week, in Rocca and Leon, and only sneaked Swan in for a single despite his great game. But same principal: Rocca, Cloke, Leon and Didak have been putting in a lot for a while now, and I thought it was time they got some recognition. Besides, Rocca's 5.0 was every bit as cruical as Swanny's all around the ground effort, and Leon's goals were the difference between the two sides - if Freo had had a Leon (or a Milne - or a Farmer) they would have won.
Agree entirely about Goldsack, BTW. This was his coming-of-age game. He looked like a kid with talent in his first two weeks, now I'm confidently predicting that he will play 150.
And who was Lyon's other player named as one of the "three worst"? I'm curious. _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |

Although it feels wrong not to give votes to Burns and Pendlebury as well. Can I start at 5 and work my way down? _________________ "He is a loathsome brute, yet I cannot look away." |

You can't have been at the game, Snoop Dog. Or maybe you went for a quick one at the wrong moment. Didn't you see it? During the first quarter, while Pavlich was taking a massive hanger over Nick Maxwell, Harry nipped in and quickly undid Pav's laces, slipped his boots off, and swapped them over, left for right. Brilliant tactical move! For the rest of the night, every time Pavlich kicked, it went off to the side and scored a behind. Won the match for us. Harry should have got 3 votes. _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |
