Quote: | DRAFT prospects will be given a more rigorous job interview than ever at this week's annual draft camp, with a new sprint test and three new psychological evaluations to give clubs extra information on their AFL potential.
A repetitive sprint test — where players run 30-metres six times, with a 20-second break — has been introduced, and the AFL willtry out the three written, multiple-choice psych tests. |

I know this is a bit off topic, but funnily enough I sold a ticket to see INXS on ebay the other week and the author of this article (Matt Burgan) was the buyer. Sat next him at the gig, and he is a really good bloke. Anyways, enough of this drivel.... |

Love to pick up Hansen, endurance and height. I think Selwood could be a gamble, but all rumours are that he is a star. _________________ Like Nicks, why not donate

There aint a snowflakes chance in hell Hansen will be around after pick 5, most likely will be gone by pick 3. So out of our reach unless we trade for a higher pick. I am hoping Matthew Leuenberger slides threw to pick 10. 203cm, must get ruckman! |

I think Draft Camp counts for little. They train them on everything except whether they can play footy. Last year, some of the best performers didnt even get selected. _________________ There's more to life than footy.........just not much more. |

yeah, it just goes to show that our game is turning into a game for those with athletic ability not football ability.
then again, if u have both athletic and football ability, u will be a star in this day and age |
