Taz must look inward: Fev
1:00:28 PM Sun 6 August, 2006

Sportal for afl.com.au
Quote: | Carlton star Brendan Fevola says troubled Magpie star Chris Tarrant does not need his help in turning his AFL career around.
It has emerged that Tarrant, who was fined $5000 along with teammate Ben Johnson for being involved in a fight outside a Port Melbourne nightclub after 3.30am last Sunday morning, plans to speak to Fevola to ask the Blues full-forward how he got his career back on track. |
Sorry if it has been posted. |

You know I have to actually give some credit to Sideshow Bob! The fact that he has managed to kick 60+ goals for 3 of the past 4 seasons in a completely Dud team is a credit to him. One thing he has improved 10 fold is his work rate and he rarely cracks the shits in a game! |

Good one Cam. I like that.
Tarrant will be remembered as a player that rarely reached his potential. For that, he has only himself to blame. |

The crazy part about the article is the he had to ask his manager how Fev improved so much ???????
And his manager said that it was not rocket science.
It really amazes me when a supposed elite athlete and professional footballer has to ask his manager why one of this other player is performing better. |

The thing with the Big Fev is he got married and had a kid which really settles you down.
Tarrant still has a mental age of 16 and is from a badly broken home so he is not ready to settle down, therefore he wont.
Tarrant is too introspective, he needs to look outward more. Inwardly, all he sees is his own Demons and Uncertainties. |

I actually think it shows something may have clicked in with Taz in the last few days. I can see the similarities with Fev and the bagging both cop for both their form and their extra-curricular activities. I think its good to talk to someone in a similar situation, not to find out that you just have to put your head down and work harder, but just to understand what the other has gone through mentally and it gives you hope and confidence knowing others in a similar situation have emerged and prospered. Good luck to Taz...... _________________ Go you good thing! |

I still yearn for the days of Celeste
She had a very good hold on Tazza
It was about the same time she left him that he went off the rails
Lauren just doesn't have the same strong hold on keeping him in line. |

The family ties may have something to do with it.
I know Fev's Dad and a very tough Italian person with the very much no shit approach to everything.
I would be tipping the Brendan would have got a severe chat session with Angelo and the next one would have been and old fashioned trip to the wood shed.
Taz unfortunately may not have this 'paternal advisor' and he does need to just sit down and take stock - himself - and then get with Duck or someone to give him a plan of attack.
After that do just like Fev did - work your tail off.
The one big thng that Taz must realize (sooner or later) his peak playing potential and therefore football earnings are on the next 3-4 seasons.
Make hay while the sun shines. |

How true, Fev.
Well said by the big Fev. Only Taz can turn it around, and I'm sure he will. |

Well Fev maybe you could help Taz by coming to the pies. Would prefer you than Aker. _________________ All this may be summed up in one word - CHARACTER - and if that is not worth developing, nothing is.

Does telling the world about a broken home have to be posted on an internet site for all to see?
More slander. This is getting beyond a joke. _________________ "whaaa whaaaaaa! |
