Ok, so its cheap. Booze is cheap and so is the sex, but is it worth this?

I have a friend who is going in a couple of weeks, hope she changes her mind. But I have told her to take no luggage. If its so damn cheap buy everything over there and dump it before you come back. Might save your life.
But she is ignoring this advice.
Wonder if current events will cause her to rethink? |

How can they do this, the place was only starting to get back on it's feet tourist wise and now this, and 8 days before the 3rd anniversary of the original one.
I just don't understand how the perpetrators can justify the taking of all these lives. _________________ Jacqui © Proud Pies 2003 and beyond |

<snip> don't give a toss on how many they kill, or when they do it.
PP, their justification is that they want world peace, but only on their terms. _________________ Whale

Dale, I don't particularly like the term you used to describe these people, but I do agree that they want the world to run on their terms.
This means they want society to adhere to the strictest interpretation of the Muslim faith.
Note the "strictest" part. Most followers do not believe that interpretation. |

The biggest problem over there is the fact that you have all these extremists who try to turn around what they read in their koran.
Then you have the other ones, their sheiks who just have a blind hate for Western Culture and its freedom. They would rather have everyone do as they do, instead of allowing for the freedoms of our society.
Since the scum hit the World Trade Centre, Ive always said that the minute they hit Australia, its on. Ill do what ever I have to do to take them on. _________________ ASCSA - Alice Springs Collingwood Supporters association - President and sole member |

Well so much for my naive perspective that lightning never strikes twice... should have remembered though that Al-Queda and these guys are different, and therefore that means that the world terrorism guys (World Trade Center, Madrid, London etc) haven't really attacked Australia yet. Lets just hope all this added security the government is implementing is enough to prevent an attack here.

makes it sound like a violent movie or something.... I can't believe this organization isn't 'banned' already, whatever that means. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

well, when they give the Mastermind behind the previous Bali Bombings, the Jakarta bombings and other bombings, only a 30 month sentence (and then reduce it recently) and he is the head of JI, then of course the Indonesian's aren't serious about getting rid of these low lifes. _________________ Jacqui © Proud Pies 2003 and beyond |

the only way to prevent suicide terrorist attacks is to create a society where ALL people have reason to live.
Lotta naivety around - you think the indonesian govt give a flying flip about the Balinese? yeah sure, and they want East Timor to be independent too (WHOA)
The word needed is FUNDAMENTALIST not extremist - we have to deal with all kinds of fundamentalism, be it religious, political or whatever. _________________ Collingwood es bueno para siempre
