Malthouse defends Anzac Day spray

Collingwood Coach Mick Malthouse has defended his three-quarter-time address on Anzac Day.

Malthouse sent support staff away from the team huddle and angrily addressed the Magpies, who went on to lose to Essendon by 14 points.

He said he had no regrets about his actions and returned fire on those who questioned his motives.

"Obviously it didn't sit well with the press so therefore you're going to question me on my three-quarter-time tactics. Let's forget it, I would do it again tomorrow," he said.

I agree, good onya Mick. He does not have to answer to anyone in the media about his tactics. Suffice to say the last quarter was the only one that we won on the scoreboard, so maybe he needed to give 'em a spray before every quarter!!

Why should he regret his actions? He gave them a spray - as coaches do. And as Wakes said, they probably did deserve it.
