I've got a 15Gb iPod.
1) They come with iTunes for either Mac or PC - which is the program that manages all your mp3's.
2) It's almost too easy - fully automated.
3) I use mine every day. _________________ There are so many site rules and regulations I no longer know what I can and can't put in this signature. |

if you dont have a mac, you need (win2000 spk4) or (winxp), i purchased a 20GB, so far i have 1600 songs, i have even managed to transfer records and old cassettes, the upload time can be slow, but download is quick,oh and u need USB2.0, which i had to install....i connected the ipod to my home stereo via audio cable (my own personal jukebox) and it works fantastic in the car using itrip. _________________ free energy i$ coming.... |

so what if you have songs already on your Cds, do you have to go and download them all over again on the computer? Sorry, I have absolutely no idea about Ipods. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

If the songs are still on your computer, no you dont have to download again, and with ipod it comes with software called 'itunes' which will convert/compress .wav files to mp3, a very simple software but very COOL...also if you are on the net and have the software 'itunes' you simply insert a cd,itunes will download the name of the songs and artist + title of cd, this prevents r.s.i from all the typing.
*if you dont have songs on the comp' and u buy an ipod, once the software is installed you load your music cd's into cd drive and the software will pick it up, u then hit the 'import' button have a cup of tea and let itunes do the work. _________________ free energy i$ coming.... |

I have a, uh, 'friend' who's downloaded music through a peer to peer site (Limewire). I've heard there are problems transferring music through these programs, any info? |

You might find some apllication to do the conversion, though Real audio are fairly guarded with their encoding, as they reckon it's better than mp3. (Well, they'd have to say that.)
Try using a search engine. You'd be amazed as to what it may find. |
