Just got back from the show. Rather enjoyed it. Didn't think his songs were that great, but his performance and inter-action with audience was excellent and what i expected to see for $120.
Anybody else see the show?

A couple of girls I know flew over to see it, but not primarily for Robbie, more for his backup band Duran Duran if you can believe that. They have a fetish for all things 80's. Personally I think that decade was an era of some hits and many misses.
The 80's Misses:
Bananarama
Chantoozies
Jermaine Jackson
Agadoo
Wa-wa-nee (why why mee, bar bar leez)
Bros
Dudes wearing Pink t-shirts and white jackets.
Miami Vice inspired fashion
Indecent Obsession (just that album cover and and bleached black sides)
Flock of Seagulls
Ugly Dave Grey
Trevor Chappells underarm
Bros
Malcolm Frasers Pants
The Liberal Party
The 80's Hits:
U2
REM
The Police
Peter Gabriel
Flock of Seagulls
Australia 2 winning America's Cup
Feel free to add some. _________________ Chuffed to have seen 3 flag wins in my lifetime but still greedy for more. |

Dyso,
Dare I ask whether your prime purpose for the night was to score some pointers to success with the ladies from RW?
Newelly,
Yr lists are pretty spot on though America's Cup carry on was frankly OTT. _________________ he's an animal, what can u expect!!! |

Considering it was the first time in 100+ years someone outside of the US had won the cup it had some significance. Can't really remember all the celebrations as I was too young to take a great deal of notice - being all of 7 years old. The present day version of the America's Cup tournament would be in the misses category with a land-locked country winning it with a boat full of mercenary money-grabbing sailors from the defending nation. _________________ Chuffed to have seen 3 flag wins in my lifetime but still greedy for more. |

Mate, being somewhat older and more corrupt than your good self, I can remember the ceebrations and bullsit surrounding the circus. As a somewhat bemused neutral who visisted Aus during this time, anyone would think the occasion was for something worthwhile and for the good of humanity like the development of a new superior variety of beer rather than a pantomime of rich wankers and thier boats. _________________ he's an animal, what can u expect!!! |

Faaaaaaaark, All i asked was if anybody went to see Robbie! Sheesh....
Anyway wombat, since you were curious enough to ask - It was a babe-fest the likes of which i very much doubt i'll ever see again. FTR, i got shot down in flames 3 times by women i usually only see in my dreams.
But i had fun tryin'!

yeah, my girlfriend dragged me along..... was nothing but a snore ... we had pretty good seats, she enjoyed it and i just pretended. but %$^£$%^&%%, it was crazy... when we first walked in, security guards told everyone to just push and shove our way through.... even smack them with bottles if it was necessary... _________________ Nelly the cow is a beautiful cow

If you play 80s songs at a party everyone will dance, sing and have fun (not to mention improve shag possibilities). This is because no one feels embarrassed or take themselves seriously.
If you play 90s or current dance songs at a party women and gay men will dance, straight men will stand around doing nothing because of not wanting to look embarrassed and your party will die a slow lingering death.
This is what I like about the Locker Room at the Telstra Dome after a match - tacky tunes and people with no shame, you've gotta love it! _________________ I still reckon Rocca got that goal
