If you believe 3AW MM has come home today and said 'thanks but no thanks' with Carlton, Melbourne and Essendon now his 3 choices left

How many times does it need to be said... unless the deal is hugely in our favour eg: Betheras or pick 7 billion for Stevens, we dont want him... we dont need him....
He's a receiver.... who wants a receiver?

We want a receiver - we have grunters Burns, Licuria etc.
But only make the trade for first rd pick, and say Scotland. |

well creedymagpie I must be one of those idiots too because I believe we dont need Stevens either!! and for what Port is asking no way!! we will loose to much to gain a player who isn't as good as the ones we got rid of to get him and if you dont know who I am talking about I am talking about Presti and Wakes!!!

| if you want a classy receiver, stick with Scotland. Very similar to Stevens and could be just as dependable if given the game time. Forget Stevens. |

Thats not what I heard Killbot. All that was reported was that MM said Didak and Presti would not be used as a trade.
If Stevens plays hardball (who knows what he is doing behind the scenes) then we may get him at 1:58 Friday when Port decides better to take pick 17 and Scotland rather than have him go into the draft and get nothing. |

Hi Guys,
Can confirm that Nick Steven's manager was on 3AW today and said that Neil Balme had spoken to MM and confirmed that Didak and Presti were not to be used as trade- that they were required players. Brought a smile of relief from me  |

If you dont think we need him you obviously havent seen him play as he is Class with a capital C.
Well no i would not be willing to give up Wakes or Presti but when the names like Scotland comes up i think its a good trade. Buckley is 31 and cant play the midfield for ever, the obvious idea is for Stevens to take Buckleys role of the Midfield and for bucks to go forward.
But we have to give up some quality, we cant take a great player like him and give them crap (unfortunatly BK already resigned, DAMN) This bloke will be great for our club and we have to be willing to give!

If the draft deadline finishes and we have not got him, that's when it's over.
I am led to believe we are giving them our first round draft pick (17) and wherever Scoots goes for a draft pick that will be the other.
Port will take something as they may get nothing. |
