Finishing 4th wont get us a home final. For a home final, we'll need to finish 1st or 2nd (which will also give us the double chance), or 5th or 6th (will the prospect of early elimination).

Totally agree, MissMagpie, but it's worth noting some of the remaining games.

As well as our own games against Crows, Swans and Bombers these top 9 sides also have to play each other: Bris/Syd. Ess/Freo. Adel/Kangas. PA/Adel. WCE/Freo.

The Crows play us, Roos and Power and the Swans play us and Brisbane. If we don't make 2nd. then 4th. is a better option as 3rd. would probably see us going to the Gabba for our first final.

The 8 is just about decided after The Roos went down by a point to Freo.

With only three games to come, they are 6 points behind Essendon in 4th. and Hawthorn are a further 2 points back.

I guess the best thing for Collingwood is being 4th, atleast we wouldn't have to travel to WA, or Brisbane.

I guess Freo is better then I thought, because I tipped the Kangaroos to win this game and get into the eight. So I guess Essendon, and Freo are in?

The sad thing is Hawthorn are playing better football than us at the moment. They are easily the best team outside the 8 and if it hadnt been for their slump they would be in the 8 easily.

They have beaten WCE, Syd twice, Adelaide, Coll & Freo

They lost to Port by a point and should have won at the Gabba.

Look at the ladder. Form suggests how many games you win. We've won 6 out of our last 7....hawks haven't. We are in better form. Stats don't lie as they are fact not opinion. I'll be waiting for the "we didn't play anyone good" rubbish but you can only beat who walks out on the park.
