Nice work mate.

Left Etihad and went to the Mens gallery after the game. Walked in the door and straight into my favourite stripper. She is a honey. She remembers when we first met, the night of the 2011 GF. She lifted my spirits immeasurably.

Only stayed for a little while and got a taxi home, had one of the best conversations I've had for ages. Driver was African, first language Arabic, been in Australia 25 years, speaks flawless English in a totally unique accent and if he posted in the VPT he would be pillaged as being right wing. Laughing Great chat. Very Happy

Went over to see the Son this morning, went shopping together at Bunnings. Bought him a BBQ and some accessories and a 3 piece outdoor setting (1 little table, 2 chairs) then swung past Epping Plaza where he bought some meat.

Back to his place, had a nice father son time putting the BBQ together so he could cook on it tonight.

Beautiful sunny morning in his tiny courtyard, got it all done in quick time with no angst, blood or swearing. Too easy.

That sentence took me longer to read than the English second innings took me to watch.

Oh, sorry, that was harsh, wasn't it? The souffl approach to top order batting.

I got offered the volunteer job of covering the Suicide Prevention Australia conference here in Hobart. Happy to be able to help out a worthy cause even if it's by taking a few photos, certainly going to help get my work and name out there.

Good stuff proto.

A few things made me happy. Finding that I had mice in the new pantry didn't make me overly happy but pushed me to chuck some other stuff out, buy some more plastic storage containers and some mouse traps.

Set up one trap, baited with peanut butter and put it in the pantry last night.

As of 10 minutes ago there's now 5 of the filthy little farkers, dead in the kitchen bin. Very Happy

These traps are a ripper to use. Easy to set, easy to get the body out and re-set without needing to get dead mouse bits on your fingers.

Sorry Mickey and Minnie, the kids won't be home for dinner.

Thanks, I have been trying to help out some worthwhile causes while I look to appease Centrelink with the voluntary work. It's been quite hard to make them happy, I am hoping to get a call back from Special Olympics Tasmania about a possibility of long term media work with them.

The Suicide Prevention Australia Conference offer was because of personal experience with suicide, an attempted suicide from a couple of friends and a friends suicide awhile ago. I have also a different discussion on that all as well, which I will post at a later date with the whole depression stuff.

What made me happier today was helping two friends one of which is dealing with a breakup with her fiancee, depression being an issue there been trying to help her understand a bit maybe what the partner is dealing with right now, I made her happier it seems so that's good.

Another just needed a chat I guess, and somehow helped her, not sure how she wasn't that much happier but she says I helped, so I take that as a win.

Gees mate, hope your looking after yourself too, but good on you.

Why is the voluntary work not making Centrelink jump through hoops for you? I don't get that, when so many (well according to today tonight) sit on their arse and don't even try.
