I tipped Collingwood by 60+ ($8.50)

Big selection dilemma this week as we all know.
WHE is a valuable utility player and never out of the team. This week is no exception.
Carmichael MUST come in the team to show the VFL side there is reward for effort (as the sub?). |
Simple arithmetic, 30 in to 23 will not go. As Cameron, Howe, Lipinski, McStay, Frampton become available, and one would like to get some games into Carmichael, Allen, and a bunch of the younger guys, then someone has gotta miss out.
maybe you can't play all the talls.
maybe you can't play all the small forwards.
maybe you pick the team each week based very much on the opposition make up. |

Great to see McRae and Harrison to debut
Was wanting to know what our jersey looks like I think it’s indigenous round
I think we Cameron will do the bulk of the rucking
Can’t see aj doing it much when he does we lose clearance
I like Cox in the forward line
My early tip pies by 3 goals |

And all named on the extended bench along with McInnes, Ginnivan, McCreery, Markov and Crisp. So looks like it could be Cameron in for Markov, or else we go in unchanged. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

Ginni and Hill have been tag teaming off the bench during games.
I reckon Reef(unfortunately) goes out...
Cameron In
Ginni 23rd man. (emerg.) As he has done before. |

Highly unlikely that Ginnivan won’t be in the 23. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

The Swoop squad 2.0 needs to remain dynamic.
A strategy of rotating a small forward (e.g. Harrison whom I'm rapt will debut) as an impact player has merit.
Q is do you do it from a sub or one of the 22?
I still view Ruscoe would have been a better inclusion / match-up than playing both WHE and Oleg. _________________ "The Club's not Jock, Ted and Gerry" (& Eddie)

We’ve probably all become a little desensitised to playing with no talls (and winning) so all of a sudden it seems like we pick two rucks and now we’re going in top heavy…
Not sure who the sub is going to be.
Interesting they didn’t name Carmichael in the extended squad (let’s face it, Harvey Harrison ain’t playing).
Blues will be ge’ed right up. I think if we can weather any sort of barrage and win by more than a couple of goals it will say a lot about how far we can go this year. They’re not as bad as the media would suggest (well they’re certainly capable of playing much better that they have been put it that way).
Hopefully we can keep enough pressure through the middle that their forwards can’t take control. Still feel like we’re a big guy short (would have been nice to have Frampton - then we’d really be top heavy!)
Up forward we looked much better last week with the extra bit of height either by having Ash there more often or adding Cox into the mix. Just seemed to make us more potent than we had been - and we still left a few goals on the table.
We could lose, but we should win - and preferably not in the dying seconds! _________________ It's never as good/nor bad as it seems... |
