Well, I don't recall any major moves - was Coxy around the ground more in the last quarter? Tall guys never get smaller as the game wears on and I've noticed that Mason is of most value in the final term.
I think the win was more of the reflection of the faith that the coaches have put int he players all season long. |

GWS also had many injuries, which diluted their talent a lot. I mean, they did play Keeffe, after all. If only Rich. would have some. |

Pies let me down!
I said they'd win by 15 points but they only won by 10 points. Must admit I turned the television off for a while mid 2nd quarter. Save me pull my hair out.
We won so well done I'm happy.
I did not think we would get this far earlier this year. To be playing in a semi final next week is unbef*inglievable!!!
Thought Maynard was super. The whole team played better than last week but there is much room for improvement. No more fumbling in next week's game please. _________________ Ash Johnson...you beauty

We seriously need to urgently work on goal kicking accuracy before next week. We can beat Richmond if we alter our game plan, steady our kicking, and win the centre crumbing contests more decisively. And will someone please tell Pendlebury to stop hand balling to a hospital ambush or kicking fresh air shots. If you cant do something effective with posessessions, than get out of the way and let someone else get the ball. Cox needs to start learning how to pick the ball up on the run as well. And Mayne must be dropped now. Richmond have weaknesses, but some of our unforced errors they will crucify us for. Discipline wins games folks. Absolutely proud of the boys tonight. Gutsy win.
Great to see when we needed to stand up in the last it was Treloar, Grundy, JDG, Sidey and Langdon.
Maynard was brilliant on the karate kid.
After last week when we lost after being in front, real credit to see us fight it out.
Fighting it out to the death in both finals will leave us in good stead for next week.
Richmond lacks tall forwards, other than Riewoldt so in some respects we match up well against them.
I am daring to dream. |

I wasn't thinking about specific game day moves, more the game plan and the structures. Although the use of Sidebottom was clearly a constant tactical adjustment. _________________ JL |

Bad kicking made a 10 goal win into a 10 point one instead, but I'd rather go into a Prelim with that kind of game than a stomping.
Richmond are already polishing the cup, like us in 2011 and that can bite you on the arse. We can take either of the other prelim teams, just have to get this done. |

All expectations will be on Tigers next week, its going to be huge!
Crowd was bigger than I expected.... we made a lot of noise and great to hear the chant do the rounds again. Go Pies! |

Flew out of the blocks, kicked like shit then proceeded to play like shit for the next 2 qtrs. but still got the job done.
That's a game we should win and win well, but we made hard work of it. This team still has a fair way to go |

I see Stevo is on the SFS tomorrow.. prefer the boy off media street and keeping his head outta the clouds... because his finals to date are maybe a pass mark, maybe not. _________________ Get back on top. |

Fantastic result. Over the moon that we're into a preliminary final after a six year drought. Since 2002, we've made eight preliminary finals in 17 seasons so we've had a good run all things considered. If you told me we'd be preliminary finalists at the start of the year I would have said you were deluded, so this has been a very pleasant surprise.
Great game from Maynard to stop Greene in his tracks. Superb games from Sidebottom (the finals specialist), Grundy, Adams and Phillips. Hoskin-Elliott played like he did in the first half of the year. He was a menacing presence in our forward line.
Next week is the toughest task in footy, but to be in with a shot makes me proud. This club has the tenacity and resilience to never give in even in the toughest moments. This year has been one of the most enjoyable years I've experienced as a supporter. The surprises and the journey of a young team emerging has been fantastic. Full credit to Bucks and the assistants for turning it around after a few lean years.
Still can't believe we're playing off in a preliminary final now. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 |

Yeah Cam, I must admit that I am wondering whether he has reached his burn out point. He has done a magnificent job being a first year player and so slightly built, but perhaps the physical toll is starting to tell.
On the plus side, can you imagine how good he could be with a few seasons fitness under his belt? |
