He did, didn't he. His defensive efforts warranted another game. |
Quietly stoked for the guy |
Well said. He has conducted himself with great character since arriving. _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |

Luckily Cox didn't hurt Johannson with that crude bump, so he should get away with a suspended sentence imo. If he gets a week, then that might open up a spot for Sier to get a game.
I'm just rapt we've won both games at the Jihad stadium as we are better suited to the MCG. Bad luck about Varcoe, but at least we have Wells to come back next week.
I thought Greenwood was very good off the half back line, and Daics did some good things as well. Unfortunately, Chris Mayne played another good game. |
Just to add to the above, I also reckon Cox had his best game as a bit of relief in the ruck ( this season )
We just need to get used to the idea that he is nowhere near a four qtr player and probably never will be. As a forward, he brings the ball to ground at worst and as a part time ruckman when needed, he’s probably as good as most ( mainly cause there aren’t many ruck / forwards going around ) |

The good news is that we won without DeGoey kicking a single goal.We were starting to depend on him a bit much to win games for us. |

Very valid point Doris. I think it shows that we don't have to rely too heavily on just a few player,s which is definitely a positive going forward.
On another tangent, just how good is Josh Thomas around goals in traffic!! So happy for the young man that he is keeping his spot in the team after two years out of the game. |

It's good the boys will now, finally, have a decent break, 8 days. To be 6 and 4 after the sh1t house start of the season draw, very, very happy! _________________ Go Pies! |

Don't think Apples nor Stevo would be dropped next week. Murray may not be a quick in, unless he has a super turnaround in form in the VFL. _________________ Pies Forever |

Sad about Varcoe, although Bucks seemed to indicate it wasn't a full blown hammy. I believe his value to the team with his outside run and tackling verocity is very much under-estimated. He was instrumental in the goal that got us on the come back trail tonight. |

Absolutely - a full on break!! Awful scheduling for the past month or so, wasn't it. Then again, I won't be surprised if we start slowly against the Dockers next week, We may be a little rusty, not having had a decent break for so long. |

I saw a couple posters called for Appleby to be dropped for this game and now for the Dockers game already.
Can someone explain to me what I have missed in his last two games.
As a defender first ( before he starts becoming a play maker ) I don’t think the kid has put a foot wrong.
Maynard will likely force him out at some point but I thought his game tonight was really solid. Personally, right now, I think it’s still his spot to lose. |
